Attention Seniors! Please turn in your senior shirt order forms and money to Ms. Young-Dahl in the Dean’s office.  Make sure you select a name that is appropriate for school or your last name will be printed instead. Along with the paper order form you need to also fill-out the Google Form. This is how the company will receive your information. The sooner you fill-out all of the forms and get your money turned in to the Dean’s office the more likely you are to receive your shirt on time. If you have questions please see Mrs. Walsh or Ms. Young-Dahl.

Also, the Senior Panoramic photo will be taken TOMORROW September 14th at 11am. There will be an announcement at 11 a.m. dismissing you for that photo. Order forms can be turned into to Ms. Wang in the Guidance Office.

 

The Simley Cross Country teams competed at the Metro East Preview Meet yesterday.

  • 8th graders Nico Losinski & Julia Myers won the Jr. High race for the boys and girls respectively.

  • In the Girls High School race, Brekken Grathen ran 25:13 and Becca Molstad ran 26:29

  • In the Boys High School race, the boys had their highest finish at a conference competition in this millennium with a 5 place team finish which was four places higher than any conference finish last year.  The team was led by senior captains Tim Wilmot and Nick Molstad.  Tim finished 11th with an 18:35 and Nick was 16th in 18:51.  Grant Dilla finished in 22nd in 19:04.

ATTENTION GIRL HOCKEY PLAYERS - There will be a mandatory meeting on Sunday, September 24 at 6 pm in Community Room 1 at the VMCC for all players planning to play in the Simley Girls High School hockey program this 2017-18 season. All hockey players and their parents must attend. Any students interested in becoming a team manager should attend this meeting as well, along with a parent. We will discuss captains practice schedules, expectations, fundraisers, the tryout schedule and this will be the only opportunity for players and managers to try on sample sizes for this season's team apparel. The first International Club meeting will be on Friday, Sept. 15th in Ms. Sedler's room (W111) at 7:15am. Everyone is welcome!

 

Attention all Juniors interested in joining the Homecoming committee, please meet after school TODAY in the cafeteria.  Homecoming week is October 2nd-7th.

 

The Football game vs South St. Paul on Friday, September 15 will be a Tackle Cancer fundraiser game. Tackle Cancer T-Shirts will be sold in all lunches TODAY. The shirts are $10.

 

Lifetouch will be here TODAY to take team & individual photos for boys & girls Soccer, Girls Tennis & Cross Country. Forms are available from your coach or in the activities office.  Photos may be ordered online at www.lifetouchsports.com  Picture Day ID: MI997292X0

 

College Visits:

North Dakota State University will be here TODAY @ 8:30 am

University of Minnesota- Duluth will be here on Wednesday, September 13th @ 1:00 pm

Bemidji State University will be here on Thursday, September 14th @ 9:30 am

Students, especially juniors and seniors, are highly encouraged to attend college representative visits and can sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Career Center.

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
