Attention German Club members - There will be a meeting this THURSDAY morning at 7:15am in Mr. Mitchell's room. Please note the day change to Thursday instead of Friday. See Mr. Mitchell with conflicts.

 

 

Attention Student Council members: We will be moving our meeting to the Student Center tomorrow. We will NOT be in the Spartan Center, again, we will be meeting in the second floor Student Center.

 

Simley Volleyball is celebrating a Pink Out at our home volleyball game vs. North St. Paul on Tuesday, October 10 at 7 p.m.  In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Simley Volleyball will be fundraising for Hope Chest. Hope Chest is a Twin Cities charity whose mission is to provide the quickest access to help local breast cancer patients and their families with the most urgent daily living needs such as housing, utilities, transportation, childcare, and Hope Chest Meals that Heal.  We will be collecting donations at the ticket table on Tuesday night, so please come prepared with extra cash or bring your checkbook so that you can make a donation to this worthwhile charity.  For more information regarding Hope Chest, go to www.hopechest.com

Simley Theatre Booster Club will meet on Tuesday Oct 10th at 6:30 PM in the Simley IMC. We hope to see you there!

 

 

Any student interested in participating on this year's Math Team, there will be an informational meeting after school on Monday, October 9th in Mr. Gingerich's room, WA 226.  

 

 

Want to be part of a FUN winning team? The BOYS SWIMMING AND DIVING Middle School & High School teams are having a short Informational MEETING on Tues. Oct. 10th  at 2:45 p.m. in *Middle School lunchroom* The teams are open to all boys 6-12th grade. This meeting is a chance to meet the team and coaches and get all the paperwork your son will need to join a school sport.  The Boys Swimming & Diving Season is a winter sport and begins Monday, Nov. 27th. NOTE: this meeting is for the athletes.   Parents are more than welcome to attend, but they do not need to attend this meeting.  There is a parent’s meeting scheduled for Dec. 5th.  For more information please email Coach Lynn Newton at [email protected]

 

TONIGHT - The Simley Boys Hockey Blue Line Club’s monthly board meeting for October will be held Monday, October 9 @ 7pm at the Grove in Armory Room C.

All are welcome and are encouraged to attend.   The meeting was moved from Monday, October 2 to Monday, October 9 due to Coronation.

Carthage College, a private school in Wisconsin, will be here to visit on Wednesday, October 11th @ 12:45 PM

St. Catherine University will be here on Thursday, October 12th @ 1:00 PM

The College of St. Ben and St. John’s University will be here Friday, October 13th @ 10:25 AM

Interested in joining the 2017-2018 Simley Dance Team?  Winter Competitive Team tryout practices will take place on Monday, October 23rd and Tuesday, October 24th from 4:00-5:00pm & 5:15-6:15pm. Tryouts and team announcements will take place on Tuesday, October 24th after practice from 6:30-7:30pm.  If you are currently in grades 7-12, you are welcome to tryout.  See the signs posted around school for more details. Please email the Coaches at [email protected] with any questions.


Student Parking Lot- Only students with a Simley parking pass are allowed to park in the student lot. If you do not have a pass, you must park off campus. Students found parked in the lot with a pass may be ticketed, booted etc. See Ms. Sievert in the main office if you have questions.


Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
