Student Center Closed this week (March 21-23)



Seniors - Your Senior Grad Fee is due March 23rd...That’s TOMORROW!   Payments can be made on Fee Pay or in person to Ms. Sievert in the Main Office.



Mark Your Calendars! On Saturday, March 31st, the day before Easter, the Simley Golf teams are bagging groceries as a fundraiser at Cub Foods IGH.  Help support the team by doing your shopping that day and let the golfers do the bagging for you!  Thank you for your support!



Attention Spanish Club - There is a Spanish Club meeting on Friday, March 23 at 7:15 a.m. in Ms. Valencia’s room.



Attention students that participate in morning Academic Enhancement sessions with Ms. Niemi - There are NO sessions TODAY, Thursday, March 22  & Friday, March 23.



Attention all 11th graders:  If you want to leave school after the ACT exam on Tuesday, April 3, you must turn in your permission slip to the main office.  If you do not return the slip by THIS FRIDAY, you will have to stay in school after the ACT test is completed.



Prom committee will meet TODAY, Thursday, 3/22 after school in Mrs. Martin's room.



CHARITY WEEK REMINDER - Bring a monetary or food donation to your seventh hour class to buy out and attend a dodgeball tournament on Friday. Donations will go to Harvest Pack and Neighbors Inc.


The theme days are as follows:

TODAY IS is flannel day

Friday is tourist or Hawaiian day

Attention Parents - If you are calling in to report an absence and would like to go directly to the Attendance line, please call 651-306-7010.  



Reminder - All students interested in PSEO must schedule a short meeting with their counselor prior to Friday, March 23rd.  Please stop by the guidance office or email your counselor directly.



Do you have any unwanted books lying around? If this is the case for you, donate them! Help children and young adults create a love for reading. There will be a donation box in the Main office during the week of March 19th.



For their NHS senior project , Lauren Allen and Hannah Thomas are asking for donations of new or gently used stuffed animals, books and toys. They will be donating the items to Children’s Hospital for the kids suffering with Diabetes. They need the donations by April 4th. Donations can be brought to the main office, Nurse’s office or to Ms. Walsh’s health room EA208. if you can not donate physical items they are also accepting monetary donations through the JDRF website~

Seniors Mackenzie Sullivan and Julia Remackel have extended the food drive for their NHS project. All of the items collected will be donated to families in need within our own community. Containers are located in the Dean’s office and any donation is appreciated. See posters around school for more details.  Donations will be accepted until Friday, March 23.



The American Red Cross Blood Drive will be taking place at Simley on Friday, April 6th!  Donors can sign up during all lunches starting this week.  Students 16 years old need to pick up a parent consent form prior to signing up.  Did you know? There is no blood substitute and still only one source for transfusion...VOLUNTEER BLOOD DONORS!  Any questions please see Ms Erdman or student volunteers at the blood drive table during all lunches.




Asha Saraswate and Belen Castro-Diaz are selling buttons for their NHS project to spread awareness for the #MeToo and the #NeverAgain movement. The buttons are $1 each and proceeds will go to Corey’s Closet. Corey’s Closet is an organization in our school that supplies students with personal care essentials such as shampoo, toothbrushes, non perishable food items and much more. Please find Asha or Belen to purchase a button. Or if you would like to donate any items, boxes will be located in the nurse’s office, student center and guidance office.




Simley’s Relay For Life will be taking place overnight from Friday April 27th to Saturday the 28th. We encourage all students, staff, and community members to participate in this amazing and impactful event. Registration is now open for Spring Sports!  Register through Feepay. If your family has reached the fee maximum for the school year, contact Mrs. Madigan to adjust the fee prior to registering. Maximum activity fees per school year are

$290(1 participant per family), $400 (2 participants per family) and $500 (3 or more participants per family). The maximum fee applies to students in grades 6-12.

The start dates are:

March 26 - Boys Tennis

April 2 - Boys Lacrosse




 

Student Parking Lot- Only students with a Simley parking pass are allowed to park in the student lot. If you do not have a pass, you must park off campus. Students found parked in the

lot with a pass may be ticketed, booted etc. See Ms. Sievert in the main office if you have questions.



Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
