Parking Lot Safety

Attention Parents/Guardians:

We have been noticing a pattern of parents /guardians dropping off students in the main lot and having the students cross through traffic to get to the building. We have had several unsafe situations in the last few days. We ask that all parents and guardians drop off students ONLY in the drop off lane.  Please also limit your speed in the lot. The safety of our students is the priority

School Start Time Community Meeting on May 15

During the 2016-2017 school year, the School Start/End Time Review Committee determined that more conversation was needed about changing school start and end times at the elementary and secondary levels. The committee reconvened in February to find out more about the impact of school start and end time changes on elementary students, transportation, and activities and athletics. ISD 199 community members are invited to learn more about the start time conversation at a community meeting on May 15 at 5:30 PM in the Simley High School Spartan Center. For more information, research, and updates, please visit the Start Time Review webpage, www.isd199.org/district/start_time_review.

You can still register for Summer Academy

Summer Academy invitations were mailed this week and you still have time to register your student.   Busing, breakfast and lunch are included in Summer Academy for free. Summer Academy will run Mondays-Thursdays only from 7:20-11:40am each day.  Students can receive support in math, reading, English and science, as well as receive social skills support from a counselor or our Habits of Mind class.  Questions or registration information is available from Jessica Hallin at [email protected].

Attendance information

Attendance at school is very important to student success. We realize that at times students must miss school. If your child is going to miss school please call the attendance line as soon as possible at 651-306-7878 and leave a message with your child’s name and grade. If a student misses 2 or more days we can request make-up work.

* If you are picking your child up from school early, please send a note with your child to the office in the morning. It can be a distraction to the class if we have to quickly get a child out of class.  Thank you for your understanding!

An Important Reminder for all students & parents…

All students must be accompanied by an adult in order to attend any home athletic events. This includes all middle school events as well as any high school events. We will turn students away at the door if they are not with an adult. Please know that a parent cannot just drop a student off for the night. They must buy a ticket and be in attendance during the event.
