Simley Swim and Dive team Outback Fundraiser
You're invited to the Swim/Dive Team fundraiser, Saturday, September 29th, 2018 with two seatings: 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 am. Come and join us for a great meal, and meet the swimmers/divers and their awesome coaches.
Tickets are $17.00 each ($10 per ticket is tax deductible). Menu: Steak, mashed potatoes, salad, and a non-alcoholic beverage. This fundraising is to help raise money for uniforms, suits, equipment, etc. Your support is very much appreciated!
Attention all 6th-8th grade students! The Simley Soccer Student Appreciation night has been rescheduled to Thursday, September 20th during the double header where all students get into the game for free. Boys kick off at 5 pm and Girls kick off at 7 pm. CANES Chicken will be sold at the concessions stand! Come cheer your Simley Soccer teams on and enjoy some Canes!!! ALL middle school students MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian and will not be allowed to attend without one.
The Middle School Girl's Swim Team had a great first meet against Oak-land Junior High last week. Haley Anderson had first place finishes in the 200 Freestyle and the 50 Butterfly. Abby Avenson had a first place finish in the 100 Backstroke. Congratulations on a great meet, ladies!
The Simley Girls Hockey Booster Club is hosting a Simley Girls High School Hockey parent/player meeting this Sunday, September 23 at 6 pm in Community Room 1 at the VMCC. We would like to welcome all players that are interested in trying-out for the high school program to attend, along with their parent/guardian. Information on schedules, events and fees will be provided. This meeting will also serve as the only opportunity for players and team managers to try on sample team apparel items before purchasing them. Thinking of joining the PTSA?
Inver Grove Heights Middle School PTSA meets tonight, Tuesday, Sept 18th at 6:30 in the IMC (library). Please come to the meeting and get involved in supporting our students by planning student fun nights, book fairs, teacher appreciation activities, administering mini grants and having your voice heard!
We will be unable to continue to offer these valuable services to students, staff and parents of Inver Grove Heights Middle School without your commitment of time and talents. We hope to see you tonight!
Theatre
Please join us for the Simley Theatre booster meeting tonight (Tuesday Sept. 18) at 6:30 PM in the Simley IMC. All are welcome, and parents of kids involved in the fall play are encouraged to attend.

Pictures taken during orientation were distributed to students on Friday, September 14th in advisor class. Please ask your student if you have not seen them come home! If you have questions please contact Jen in the main office at 651-306-7201.

The Simley Dance Team is hosting a Kid’s Clinic on Sept. 20th and 21st. Kids ages K-8th grade will learn a fun dance with the dance team and perform at the Simley Football Pre-Game on Sept. 21st. The cost is $25 in advance (due Sept. 9th) and $30 the day of the event. If you would like to receive more information, send an email to [email protected] .
Essay Contest!
"Know an 8th grader who dreams of seeing the world? Have them enter AAA Discovery Crew Contest where 60 students will win a trip for themselves and a parent or legal guardian, including airfare, and an 8-day/7-night river cruise beginning and ending in Amsterdam. You need to enter by September 21st, 2018. Applicants must be 13 years old and in 8th grade when they submit the application.
An Important Reminder for all students & parents…
All students must be accompanied by an adult in order to attend any home athletic events. This includes all middle school events as well as any high school events. We will turn students away at the door if they are not with an adult. Please know that a parent cannot just drop a student off for the night. They must buy a ticket and be in attendance during the event.
