TONIGHT - Coronation, Twinkie/Burger Slam and Powder Puff

Events begin at 6 p.m. in the main gym.  The cost is $3.  The concession stand will be open during the events this evening.



The Guidance office is looking for students from all grade levels that are interested in being an escort for new students at Simley. New student escorts will bring new students to and from their classes on their first day of school and show them around school.  Please fill out an application in the Guidance office.



The Simley Soccer boys and girls team attended the MN United Game on Saturday, Sept. 22.  The  Simley Soccer teams were selected to be the center scarf holders on the field during the pre-game and National Anthem.  It was an awesome experience for our Soccer players to represent Simley High School.



Soccer Fundraiser TONIGHT

Come support the Simley Girls and Boys Soccer Teams by eating at Raising Cane’s in West St. Paul on Monday, September 24th from 5-8pm. Mention our teams at the register, and Cane’s will donate a portion of the sale back to our teams. Eat at Cane’s before Homecoming Coronation and the Powder Puff game!



FALL DRIVER EDUCATION SESSIONS STARTS TODAY!

Class will begin Monday, September 24th and runs Monday-Thursday till October 10th (10 sessions) after school from 2:45-5:45 p.m.

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) will be offered at Simley on Tuesday, September 25th at 8:00 AM. The ASVAB Career Exploration Program helps students discover their strengths and interests then map out post-secondary plans with comprehensive information for over 1,000 occupations! The exam is a requirement for those planning on joining any branch of the military but is open to any student in grade 10-12 who wants to learn more about their career options. See Ms. Kimble in the Student Center for more information and to sign-up!


 

 


Upcoming College Visits:

A representative from the following colleges will be visiting Simley at the specified dates and times. If you are interested in learning more about a college and hearing from an admission representative from their school, sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Career Center.

Iowa State University will be visiting TODAY, Monday, September 24th @ 1:40 PM

St. Catherine’s University will be visiting on: Thursday, September 27th @ 9:30 AM

Winona State University will be visiting on: Friday, September 28th @ 8:00 AM

Attention Parents - If you are calling in to report an absence and would like to go directly to the Attendance line, please call 651-306-7010.  



 

Homecoming Dance Tickets will be sold during all lunches. Tickets are $10 in advance and will be $15 at the door. The attire for the dance is semi-formal. No shorts or t-shirts.

If you are planning to bring a guest from another school to the Homecoming Dance a contract must be signed by your guest’s school. The Guest dance contracts are available in the Guidance Office. Ms. Madigan will be selling guest tickets only after the application is complete and signed by Ms. Klukas. The deadline is Wednesday, September  26.

 

 

 

Simley Swim and Dive team Outback Fundraiser

You're invited to the Swim/Dive Team fundraiser, Saturday, September 29th, 2018 with two seatings: 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 am. Come and join us for a great meal, and meet the swimmers/divers and their awesome coaches.Tickets are $17.00 each ($10 per ticket is tax deductible). Menu: Steak, mashed potatoes, salad, and a non-alcoholic beverage. This fundraising is to help raise money for uniforms, suits, equipment, etc. Your support is very much appreciated!

 

 

ACT PREP COURSES

Get prepared for your ACT Test! This class provides an introduction to the ACT format, strategies for answering questions and instruction for the specific subject areas tested. Focal points of the program include diagnostic testing, vocabulary development, intensive mathematical review, reading comprehension improvement, and anxiety and time management. Students who complete a course may repeat it as often as they wish in future offerings – free of charge. All class materials are included in the tuition fee. Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
