There is no Tech Theater today!



Seniors! Take advantage of the many colleges offering free applications this week! Stop by the Student Center today for a pass to come in and complete a college application! Plus, get a treat and enter a drawing to win a mini-fridge or other college prizes! See Ms. Kimble today with questions!



Simley Football will be playing South St. Paul in the section semi-finals on Saturday, October 27th at 1 p.m. at South St. Paul. Tickets are $6 for Students & $8 for Adults. Go Spartans!!




The Maintenance department is hiring after school student custodians. The hours are from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. and will be 3-4 days per week. If you are interested, please talk to Chuck Wick in the cafeteria during all lunches.




Attention All boys in grades 9-12 that are interested in playing basketball this season should attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, October 30th at 7:20 a.m. in the main gym.  The meeting will last 10-15 minutes so please be on time.  If you have any questions please see Mr. Bushaw in room WA223.




REMINDER - Don't forget to turn in your PRIDE tickets to the Dean's office. There will be a drawing tomorrow.




Come support your Simley volleyball team as they host a Section 3AAA match on TONIGHT at 7 p.m.  The Spartans will play the winner of Tuesday's match between South St. Paul and Rosemount.  Since this is a Section game, no passes will be accepted. Admission prices are $8 for adults and $6 for students.  



Attention 9th grade Football players - Turn in your equipment TODAY after school. There will be  pizza following equipment turn in.

A representative from the following colleges will be visiting Simley at the specified dates and times. If you are interested in learning more about a college and hearing from an admission representative from their school, sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Student Center.

University of WI- Superior will be here on Friday, October 26th @ 1:00 PM

University of Minnesota-Morris will be here on Monday, October 20th @ 8:30 AM

St. Olaf College will be here on Monday, October 29th @ 10:20 AM

North Dakota State University will be here on Tuesday, October 30th @ 1:30 PM

Attention Boy’s hockey players:

Captain’s practice starts Thursday, November 1st.

  1. Ice times are 3:00-4:30 p.m.
  2. You must be registered through Fee Pay (On-line through the school activities website) by Oct.31st or else you will not be allowed on the ice.
  3. Cost is $100. Bring a check written to the BLC on the first day.
  4. A bus leaves everyday from door 26 ( behind middle school at 2:40 p.m.)
  5. You can leave your equipment in the Simley Athletic office during the day.

Attention all girls interested in joining the Gymnastics team. There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, October 30th in Ms. Walsh’s Room EA 208 at 2:45. If you can’t make the meeting but are interested in joining please see Ms. Walsh or Ms. Young-Dahl for information.



Want to be part of a FUN winning team? The BOYS SWIMMING AND DIVING Middle School & High School teams are having a short Informational MEETING on Monday. Oct. 29th  at 2:45 p.m. in *Middle School lunchroom* The teams are open to all boys 6-12th grade. This meeting is a chance to meet the team and coaches and get all the paperwork your son will need to join a school sport.  The Boys Swimming & Diving Season is a winter sport and begins Monday, Nov. 26th. NOTE: this meeting is for the ATHLETES ONLY.   Parents are more than welcome to attend, but they do not need to attend this meeting.  There is a parent’s meeting scheduled for Dec. 4th.  For more information please email Coach Lynn Newton at [email protected]


 

ACT PREP COURSES

Get prepared for your ACT Test! This class provides an introduction to the ACT format, strategies for answering questions and instruction for the specific subject areas tested. Focal points of the program include diagnostic testing, vocabulary development, intensive mathematical review, reading comprehension improvement, and anxiety and time management. Students who complete a course may repeat it as often as they wish in future offerings – free of charge. All class materials are included in the tuition fee. Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
