Updates to www.isd199.org Coming July 1

Website Update for www.isd199.org
On July 1, 2017, the Inver Grove Heights Schools website, www.isd199.org, will be updated to provide a more user friendly experience for students, staff, families, and community members. Though the website will look different, the biggest changes will be better navigation, updated and accurate information, and mobile friendly webpages.

Those who use the website can expect a cleaner design and simplified navigation. The district has also worked to clean up information on the website to remove duplicated or out-of-date information. The website update is scheduled to be implemented on July 1 to make sure the improved website will be ready well before the start of the new school year.

Salem Hills Students Teach the Importance of Clean Water at Fair

Salem Hills students share water facts

Salem Hills Elementary School took part in H2O for Life events throughout May to learn about the global water crisis and importance of clean water. Salem Hills has worked with the nonprofit H2O for Life for the past 10 years to engage students in service learning projects. Each year, students develop projects for the Water Fair that can have a real-world impact promoting access to clean water.

This year, students designed games and projects to teach others about water resources. Some students built games and created quizzes for the fair while others made and sold crafts, such as paper boats, to raise funds for increased access to water, sanitation, and hygiene.
