Senior Academic Lettering, Simley Top Ten Academic Recognition, Department Awards & Senior Activity Awards are TONIGHT at 6:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. (Invitation letters were mailed to all recipients.)



TODAY, homeroom for all seniors will take place in the Performing Arts Center.  Please report directly to the PAC at 12:45.  Important information such as cap & gown distribution, graduation and sending final transcripts will be presented. Please don’t be late as we have a lot of information to cover.




Seniors!  Tomorrow is Senior Signing Day.  Please come to Spartan Center during 6th hour to celebrate your graduation and look forward to your plans for the fall.  See you then!



SENIORS:  Advanced registration and payment of $40 is REQUIRED for the All Night Party!  Sign up TODAY, Wednesday, May 23rd, Thursday, May 24, Wednesday, March 30th and Thursday March 31st in the cafeteria between 11am-1pm!  Payment can also be mailed to a locked mailbox: "Simley All Night Party", 3042 96th Street E, IGH, MN  55077.  Please include unisex adult t-shirt size with payment.



Attn: Students who registered for AP Literature for next fall, you will meet with Ms. Brunsvold in the Student Center (upstairs) at 10:04 TODAY, Wednesday, May 23 to discuss your summer reading assignment.




Congratulations to the Softball team for their 11-5 win over Richfield in the first round of sections.  Tomorrow, the team goes to Richfield Lincoln Fields to take on Holy Angels at 4 p.m.




Highlights from Day 1 of the Metro East Conference Track & Field

Championships include:

Guresi Mena, 7th in Girls Discus, Zoe Stone 4th

Kate Carlson 7th in Girls Long Jump

Olivia Schmidt 7th in Girls High Jump

Sarah Anaya 4th in the Girls 3200

And Zoe Stone won the Girls High Jump in a new conference meet record

of 5 ft, 4 inches.

Day 2 will be contested tomorrow here at Simley, field events at 3:00,

running at 4:30.  Come out and support!  

Tickets are $4 for students & $6 for adults.



Attention Gymnasts - Any girls interested in participating in the summer gymnastics camp, please see Ms. Young-Dahl in the Dean's office for information.



TRACK FUNDRAISER

Come support the Track & Field teams this Saturday at Jersey's from 12:00-3:00 p.m.  Eat all the tacos you want for $10. Talk to a track athlete for tickets.

Volunteers will be needed for set up on Thursday, June 7 with shifts starting at 5:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., as well as the night of the event, Friday, June 8 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.



Attention all female athletes!  Please clean out your athletic lockers as soon as possible.  Take your locks and items home. Lockers will be cleaned out starting May 25th and items will be donated to charity.  If your sport goes into the following week please let Mrs. Walsh know! Thanks!

Attention students who went to prom: You can pick up a printed copy of your 4x6 prom photo from Grand March before or after school on Friday, May 18th or Monday, May 21st. There are two copies of each photo available. The photos are on a table near the stairwell and bathroom on the second floor of the EA building.





We are taking a road trip to college! Simley students have the opportunity to join us for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 days as we road trip to local college campuses - all for free! Pick-up an application in the counseling office or career center and see Ms. Kimble with any questions!




A reminder for students interested in PSEO for the 2018 - 2019 school year.  You must meet with your counselor PRIOR to May 30th to discuss the PSEO process.  




ALL Students: Reminder that only students with parking passes are allowed to park in the lots. If you do not have a pass, you cannot park on school grounds.

 

 

 

Spartan Trained Summer Speed & Strength Program - June 11 through August 10

For: Athletes entering grades 7-12.

Cost: $100.  The family max for fees is not applicable to the Summer programs.

Session Times:

    7:00-8:00 A.M.  - High school boys & girls entering 9th-12th grade

    8:00 - 9:00 A.M. - High School girls entering 9th-12th grade

    9:15 A.M. -10:15 A.M. - High School boys entering 9th-12th grade

   10:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M. - All middle school boys & girls entering 7th & 8th grade

Attention Seniors:  Each of you must complete a graduation survey.  A link to the survey can be found on Simley's homepage.  The survey allows us to track your post-high school plans as well as authorizes the release of your final transcript.  Please complete this as soon as possible. Final deadline is Friday, May 18.

Seniors - Your Senior Grad Fee is due!   Payments can be made on Fee Pay or in person to Ms. Sievert in the Main Office.




Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
