Bus Riders: Because of Wednesday’s early release, there will only be 4 buses bringing you home. Please see the bus routes located outside the main office and guidance office.

All students in attendance including P.E., Study Hall, Music, etc. unless excused by parent

1st hour exam 7:40 a.m. - 9:25 a.m.

3rd hour exam 9:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.

5th hour Regular Class/Lunch

6th hour exam 12:45 p.m. -  2:30 p.m.

Wednesday - June 6, 2018

Only those students who have classes 4th and 5th periods come to school.

Congrats to the Baseball team! They beat Bloomington Kennedy 3-1 on Friday. The team plays Holy Angels today at 3 p.m. at Red Haddox field.



Attention Distance Track runners, for those interested in today's time trial, meet Coach Gerber at the track at 3:00 p.m.



All AP Art students who are either signed up for AP Art or are considering it for next year must come to a brief meeting TODAY,  Monday, June 4th at 2:40 p.m. in Mr. Gilbertson’s room.



Didn't get your yearbook? Pick up your book from Mr. Mandell in room WA209 as soon as possible. There are also still a few extras available for $80 if you did not pre-order one.



College Road Trip! Join us on 1, 2, 3, or all 4 days as we road trip to visit local college campuses this summer! During the week of June 25th we will be visiting Gustavus, Mankato, Winona State, St. Ben’s/St. John’s, St. Cloud, University of Minnesota, and University of St. Thomas. The trip is free to students and parents and is an excellent way to get started on college planning! Pick-up an application in the Career Center or counseling office. Application deadline has been extended to TOMORROW, Tuesday, June 5th!!



Congratulations to Simley Theatre cast, crew and directors for recognition received for the production of Wizard of Oz!

Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club

Are you interested in bowling for the Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club?  Our Co-Ed 2018 season will begin in September.  Any level of bowler is welcome. If so, please contact Gary Salzman (coach) at [email protected]   for more information.  Practices will start mid-August.


YEAR END MEDICATION RETURN:

All medications including prescription and over the counter medications will be returned to students to take home during 7th hour Thursday May 31st.  Students will be instructed to put medication directly into their backpack to take home.

Any parent that does not want the medication sent home with their child should notify the school nurse, Dawn Erdman at 651.306.7014, so that other arrangements can be made.

The YMCA is offering free summer memberships for high schoolers (starting grade 9-12 in the fall).

SUMMER DRIVER EDUCATION SESSIONS STARTING SOON!

Class will begin Monday, June 11th and runs Monday-Friday till June 25th (10 sessions) there are two sections offered; 8:30-11:30 a.m. or 12:00-3:00 p.m.

Attention Gymnasts - Any girls interested in participating in the summer gymnastics camp, please see Ms. Young-Dahl in the Dean's office for information.



Soccer Managers Wanted | The Simley Boys and Girls soccer teams are looking for managers for the Fall 2018 season. Managers will help with game statistics as well as recording games. No soccer experience necessary. Managers are eligible for a Manager letter. If you are interested in being a team manager for the girls, please visit Coach Austin in her classroom (WA106) or email her at [email protected]. If you are interested in being a team manager for the boys, please contact Coach Dayus at [email protected].

 

 

2018 Simley Soccer Camp | All Fall 2018 Simley High soccer players should turn in their summer soccer camp registration ASAP. The boys’ soccer camp runs from 9-11 am on Monday, June 18, Wednesday, June 20, and Friday, June 22 with the top 18 players being invited to a scrimmage on Saturday, June 23. The girls’ soccer camp runs from 10-12 pm on July 9-12. All camp information and registration details can be found on the Simley Soccer website (www.simleysoccer.com).

Spartan Trained Summer Speed & Strength Program - June 11 through August 10

For: Athletes entering grades 7-12.

Cost: $100.  The family max for fees is not applicable to the Summer programs.

Session Times:

    7:00-8:00 A.M.  - High school boys & girls entering 9th-12th grade

    8:00 - 9:00 A.M. - High School girls entering 9th-12th grade

    9:15 A.M. -10:15 A.M. - High School boys entering 9th-12th grade

   10:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M. - All middle school boys & girls entering 7th & 8th grade

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
