Students that were invited but were not able to make it to the academic ceremony last night, your awards can be found in the main office.

 

 

This is just a reminder that students must have a pass from their teacher to see their counselor. Student should not come during passing time and expect to receive a pass to be late to class.

 

 

All student cars in campus during school hours must have a parking permit.

 

 

Picture Make-Up Day is this Friday morning.  If you need a picture order form, they can be found in the main office. If you have not picked up your pictures from orientation day, they can be found in the Guidance Center.

If you did not take your picture on Orientation Day, please have your photo taken for your Simley ID. Announcements will be made on when to leave class.



Guest dance contracts for the Homecoming Dance are now available in the Guidance Office. Ms. Madigan will be selling guest tickets only after the application is complete and signed by Ms. Klukas. The deadline is Wednesday, September  26.



The Maintenance Department is looking for student workers to work 3-4 hours per day after school 3 to 4 days per week. See Chuck Wick if you are interested.

 

 

Lifetouch will be at the Grove TODAY, Tuesday, Sept. 18 to take team & individual pictures for girls Swim & Dive.  Pictures may be pre-ordered at https://order.lifetouchsports.com/index.cfm?event=OrderHome&contractID=154481  Order forms are available in the Activities office.

 

 

Please join us for the Simley Theatre booster meeting TONIGHT, Tuesday Sept. 18 at 6:30 PM in the Simley IMC. All are welcome, and parents of kids involved in the fall play are encouraged to attend.

 

 

 

Simley Volleyball is hosting a fundraiser at Chick-fil-A in West St. Paul, 1770 Robert St. S., TONIGHT, Tuesday Sept. 18th.  Our fundraiser will run from 5:00-8:00 p.m., and supporters need to mention Simley Volleyball or present this FLYER when ordering.  Chick-fil-A will donate 20% of all sales to Simley Volleyball.  Give yourself the night off from cooking and come out to support Simley Volleyball!

 

Attention all students in grades 9-12! The Simley Soccer Student Appreciation night has been rescheduled to Thursday, September 20th during the double header where all students get into the game for FREE!  Boys kick off at 5 p.m. and Girls kick off at 7 p.m.  CANES Chicken will be sold at the concessions stand! Come cheer your Simley Soccer teams on and enjoy some Canes!!!

 

 

The Simley Girls Hockey Booster Club is hosting a Simley Girls High School Hockey parent/player meeting this Sunday, September 23 at 6 pm in Community Room 1 at the VMCC.  We would like to welcome all players that are interested in trying-out for the high school program to attend, along with their parent(s)/guardian(s).  Information on schedules, events and fees will be provided. This meeting will also serve as the only opportunity for players and team managers to try on sample team apparel items before purchasing them.  For more information, contact Amy Woog Patnode at [email protected].

A representative from the following colleges will be visiting Simley at the specified dates and times. If you are interested in learning more about a college and hearing from an admission representative from their school, sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Career Center.

St. Catherine’s University will be visiting on: Thursday, September 27th @ 9:30 AM

Winona State University will be visiting on: Friday, September 28th @ 8:00 AM

Senior Lunch Release - Seniors you must turn in your lunch release forms to Ms. Offermann prior to leaving the building. This is a privilege for seniors ONLY!

 

 

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) will be offered at Simley on Tuesday, September 25th at 8:00 AM. The ASVAB Career Exploration Program helps students discover their strengths and interests then map out post-secondary plans with comprehensive information for over 1,000 occupations! The exam is a requirement for those planning on joining any branch of the military but is open to any student in grade 10-12 who wants to learn more about their career options. See Ms. Kimble in the Student Center for more information and to sign-up!

 

Dance Fundraiser?

You are invited to join the Simley Dance Team at DrKula's 32 Bowl this Saturday for their annual moonlight bowling fundraiser.  Silent auction items will be available. Contact your favorite dancer for tickets.

Simley Swim and Dive team Outback Fundraiser

You're invited to the Swim/Dive Team fundraiser, Saturday, September 29th, 2018 with two seatings: 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 am. Come and join us for a great meal, and meet the
swimmers/divers and their awesome coaches.

Tickets are $17.00 each ($10 per ticket is tax deductible). Menu: Steak, mashed
potatoes, salad, and a non-alcoholic beverage. This fundraising is to help
raise money for uniforms, suits, equipment, etc. Your support is very much
appreciated!

 

 

 

FALL DRIVER EDUCATION SESSIONS STARTING SOON!

Class will begin Monday, September 24th and runs Monday-Thursday till October 10th (10 sessions) after school from 2:45-5:45 p.m.

ACT PREP COURSES

Get prepared for your ACT Test! This class provides an introduction to the ACT format, strategies for answering questions and instruction for the specific subject areas tested. Focal points of the program include diagnostic testing, vocabulary development, intensive mathematical review, reading comprehension improvement, and anxiety and time management. Students who complete a course may repeat it as often as they wish in future offerings – free of charge. All class materials are included in the tuition fee. Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
