Welcome to Inver Grove Heights Schools

Superintendent Dave BernhardsonOur school district's vision is to create learning environments that provide for high student achievement so all learners are academically and socially prepared for lifelong learning. The district has high academic standards and expectations as well as a record of outstanding student achievement in and out of the classroom. Our staff is very proud and believes educating children at a high level is one of the most important jobs in the world. The school community is supportive of its schools and our effort to provide the best possible education for our 3,400 students.

I have had the opportunity to be Superintendent of Inver Grove Heights Schools since July of 2014. Prior to coming to Inver Grove Heights, I served as an administrator in the South Washington County Schools as an assistant superintendent and principal. I have also served as an elementary principal with Inver Grove Heights Schools and a teacher in Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan Public Schools and Watertown School District in South Dakota.

Inver Grove Heights Schools has a wealth of opportunities for learners of all ages. We invite you to participate in these opportunities and to attend district events.
