Simley Announces Matt Drugg as its New Assistant Principal

New Simley High School Assistant Principal Matt DruggSimley High School is pleased to announce that Matt Drugg will join the high school team as its newest assistant principal. Mr. Drugg comes to ISD 199 from Eagle Ridge Middle School in Savage, Minnesota, where he was the dean of students. He has nearly 15 years of experience in secondary education. He earned his bachelor’s degree in secondary education and his master’s in special education. He also earned an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University in St. Paul.

Before becoming the dean of students, Mr. Drugg spent more than a decade in the classroom as a special education teacher. As a teacher and an administrator, his focus has been on student support and data-driven decision-making. His leadership in all of his positions has resulted in increased engagement, fewer referrals, and more effective support for students and families, even at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
