Vote on Election Day
The polls will be open from 7 AM to 8 PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Find your Election Day polling place at
pollfinder.sos.state.mn.
Minnesota voters must register by October 15, 2024, for their name to appear on the November 5 polling roster. If you do not meet the registration deadline, you must register at your polling place on Election Day.

Absentee Voting Starts September 20
Starting September 20, absentee voting can be done at the following locations:

Anyone interested in voting absentee must fill out an Absentee Application.

Dakota County voters may also obtain an absentee ballot by visiting the
Dakota County Administration Center in Hastings, the
Western Service Center in Apple Valley, or the
Northern Service Center in West St. Paul. For those wanting to vote by mail, the ballot request form must be returned before a ballot will be delivered.
Absentee Ballots will be available beginning Friday, September 20. Any requests for Absentee Ballots received before September 20 will be held until ballots are available. For more information, call the City of Inver Grove Heights at 651-450-2463.
Absentee voting cannot be done on Election Day and all voters must report to their Election Day polling place.

Direct Balloting Starts October 18
Direct balloting will be available starting October 18 this year. Direct balloting allows voters to insert their ballot directly into a ballot tabulator rather than sealing an absentee ballot to be tabulated later. Direct balloting will be available at the service centers listed above until 5:00 PM on Monday, November 4.
Inver Grove Heights City Hall extended hours for direct balloting will include:
- Saturday, October 26: 9 AM - 3 PM
- Tuesday, October 29: 8 AM - 7 PM
- Saturday, November 2: 9 AM - 3 PM
- Sunday, November 3: 9 AM - 3 PM
- Monday, November 4: 8 AM - 5 PM
