Simley Wrestling Honored at St. Paul Saints Game

The St. Paul Saints invited Simley High School’s 2023 state champion wrestling team to its May 24 baseball game. Students were honored before the game, and state champion wrestler and Simley 2023 Apollo Award winner Gavin Nelson threw out the first pitch.
Simley Wrestling has made a name for itself over the years. This winter, they earned their fifth state championship in a row and the 16th state championship in school history. Before the Saints game, the wrestlers were brought out onto the field for their honor. They met Saints Manager Toby Gardenhire who congratulated them on their success before the Saints announcers introduced the team. Gavin took the mound and threw the very first pitch of the game.
Great job to Simley Wrestling for another outstanding season and for representing Simley at the May 24 Saints game.
