New Announcements
Registration Opens Monday, April 10 for IGH Summer Youth Center (Students entering grades 6-9)
This is an awesome place to spend your summer! Hanging out with your friends, going to the pool, playing games, doing crafts, listening to music, going on field trips- who could ask for anything better! Plus you have the freedom to come when you choose- spend the whole day or part of the day with us, it’s up to you!
Registration starts on April 10- Register early- space is limited. Students bring their own lunch. Weekly field trips- transportation and admission are included in the program fee. Part of the IGH Middle School lunch program this year (June 20-July 19), and new location in IGH Middle School!

Attention Middle School Golfers:
There will be a meeting on Sunday, April 9th at 6:30pm for anyone interested in joining the Middle School Golf Program this spring. The meeting will be held in the Middle School IMC. Participants can find a registration form by visiting www.simleygolf.com and then clicking on the Middle School tab. Forms can be turned in at the meeting, or turned into the Middle School main office. The Middle School Golf Program will run for 5 weeks from April 24th through May 25th, and is open to anyone in grades 6, 7, or 8 who would like to improve their skills or learn the game of golf. Spring Sports
Middle School Spring Sports started Monday, April 3rd.
If you are registered for Track, 7th & 8th Grade Softball or 7th & 8th Grade Baseball, meet in C gym today after school.
If you want to play a spring sport and have not registered yet, you can still sign up but you need to be registered BEFORE you start practice. You must have a current sports physical on file to participate. If you have questions about signing up, stop by the Activities office for more information.
Soccer
FALL 2017 SIMLEY BOYS AND GIRLS SOCCER PLAYERS | Come to a SOCCER MEETING on TUESDAY, April 11 at 2:35 PM in the lunchroom to hear from Coach Dayus and Coach Delos Santos about summer training, summer soccer camps, and the upcoming fall soccer season. Also on hand will be Simley Soccer Booster Club members to discuss the Spring fundraiser to help with your booster fees.

Start Time Decision Announcement
WIN time will be starting on Wednesday 11/2 and continue each Wednesday throughout the year. This is an after school homework help with 2-4 adults supporting students in organization and homework assistance. WIN time goes from 2:45-4:00 and students need to bring in a contract signed by a parent before they can attend. Contact Ben Kissling with any questions 651-306-7294. [email protected]

A new group here in IGH! The Latina Youth Leadership Academy (LYLA) is a mentor based program that provides leadership opportunities for Latina girls grades 7-12. We meet every Monday from 6-7:30 pm at 7950 Blaine Avenue in Inver Grove Heights. It’s free to participate. Participants are paired with a woman mentor who guides them and helps them through their goals and discuss leadership topics like; time management, public speaking, college readiness and others. We offer college scholarships to qualified seniors in High School. Come join us and learn more about your personal power and leadership potential! Family Support Group
NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Minnesota provides support groups to help parents and caregivers discover resources to meet the challenges of raising a child with a mental illness, learn coping skills and develop problem solving skills. Each of the support groups are facilitated by a parent who has a child with a mental illness and who has received specialized training.

An Important Reminder for all students & parents…
All students must be accompanied by an adult in order to attend any home athletic events. This includes all middle school events as well as any high school events including the varsity football games. We will turn students away at the door if they are not with an adult. Please know that a parent cannot just drop a student off for the night. They must buy a ticket and be in attendance during the event.
