Simley Announcements 10-25-17
Published on Oct 25, 2017 11:46

The Simley Girls volleyball team opened its 3AAA section tournament in fine fashion with a straight set victory over Park of Cottage Grove on Tuesday, October 24th. Except for a brief run by the Wolfpack near the end of the second set, the Spartans controlled the match from the first serve to the last kill. Although the first round match saw another great team win with contributions from all 11 players, Junior Adara Kellogg must have had a great breakfast as she led all players with a remarkable 12 kills in just 13 attempts. Junior Rachel Wanger's sets to her were as sweet as the sugar sprinkled on Adara Kellogg's frosted flakes Tuesday morning and liberally dished out to the other Simley hitters as well. The match was a good tune-up for Thursday's match as the 6th ranked Spartans travel to 3rd ranked Rosemount.
