Consider Helping in Our 12th Year of
Cold Noses, Warm Hearts

This week we are collecting donations to help local families in need this holiday season. With the cold temps and howling wind upon us, we hope our school community will come together and donate!  Donations will be collected in Advisory classes through Friday, December 8th. Every donation helps!  Think about joining us for HAT DAY on Friday to help the cause.  All hat wearers require a $1 donation.

Cookie Dough Delivery

We will be distributing the cookie dough that was ordered during our fundraising efforts this fall on Thursday, December 7th. Please make plans with your child to make sure your orders are picked up that day.

If your child is unable to take the cookie dough home on the school bus (most students can handle one box on the bus), someone must come to school between 2:45 - 5:00 that day. Cookie dough should be delivered (keep refrigerated) to the customer by December 17th.  Please contact Jason Voss at (651) 306-7204 if you have any questions.

PTSA News

There will be no PTSA meeting in December. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday January 9th.

Career Day for 8th Grade Students 2/16/18

We are looking for community members to help educate our students on different career options and hope that you will consider partnering with us on the morning of Friday, February 16th.  This event usually runs from approximately 7:30-9:30 in the morning. You will be asked to give a 20 minute presentation to 3-4 different groups of students about your career. Your presence is a great example of the partnership that schools and communities can share; and will assist our students in making better, more informed choices in school and in life after school.

If you are able to help out, please send an email to [email protected]   or [email protected] with a short description of your job, and your preferred method of communication. We will provide more detailed information closer to the date of the Career Day. Thank you for considering volunteering your time to IGHMS!

Attendance information

Attendance at school is very important to a student’s success. We realize that at times students must miss school. If your child is going to miss school please call the attendance line as soon as possible at 651-306-7878 and leave a message with your child’s name and grade. If a student misses 2 or more days we can request make-up work.

* If you are picking your child up from school early, please send a note with your child to the office in the morning. It can be a distraction to the class if we have to quickly get a child out of class.  Thank you for your understanding!

Save your Boxtops, Milk Moola and Loaves4Learning!

Each year the PTSA hosts a collection contest starting in January, so start collecting these at home now!

This is the easiest and biggest fundraiser we host.  We won't ask you to sell anything, so take this opportunity to contribute!

An Important Reminder for all students & parents…

All students must be accompanied by an adult in order to attend any home athletic events. This includes all middle school events as well as any high school events. We will turn students away at the door if they are not with an adult. Please know that a parent cannot just drop a student off for the night. They must buy a ticket and be in attendance during the event.
