Trap Team practice is CANCELED Saturday morning due to weather.


Boys Tennis practice is canceled today.



Attention all current AP students: All AP students taking an AP exam this year must attend an AP information session. AP Information sessions will only be help in AP Lang, AP Geography, AP US history and AP Psychology.


  • If you do not have one of those AP classes, you will need to attend one of those classes during their scheduled AP information session.
  • Another opportunity will be in AP Psychology in Room W211 on April 20th during 1st ,2nd, 5th or 7th periods.
  • Start planning ahead so you do not miss this mandatory session.

The Simley Track team competed at the New Prague Invite yesterday. Girls Results  

  • I’Tianna Salaam finished 4th in the 100, 4th in the 200, and 2nd in the 400.  Salaam is now the 7th fastest in Simley history for the 100 meter dash.
  • Kate Carlson was 5th in the 100,
  • Sarah Anaya was 2nd in the 3200, and is now the 8th fastest in school history.
  •  Zoe Stone, Olivia Schmidt, and T. Foster finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the High Jump.
  • Girls 4x100 was 3rd

Boys Results

  • ·         Devon Richards – 2nd in the 100, 1st in the 400
  • ·         Evan Johnson – 3rd in the 100, 3rd in the 200
  • ·         Alec Frederick – 5th in the 200
  • ·         Desean Thompson was in 2nd in the 400
  • ·         Grant Dilla and tim Wilmot were 3rd and 5th in the 1600, both joining the sub-5 minute mile club
  • ·         Carter Bollmann was 5th in the 3200
  • ·         Hope Adebayo 5th in the 300 hurdles
  • ·         Boys 4x100 and 4x200 were 2nd,
  • ·         Carlo Sallis was 5th in the High Jump, Josh Yang 5th in the Triple Jump

The Girls finished 4th and boys 3rd in the team standings.




Interested in learning more about what career might be a good fit for you? The ASVAB Career Exploration test will be offered at Simley on Thursday, April 19th at 8:00 AM. Any student grade 10-12 interested in the military should consider taking the exam as well as any student wanting to explore their career options. JUNIOR-SENIOR PROM: Party Like Gatsby

Attention juniors and seniors, prom this year will be held on Saturday, April 21 at Mall of America. Grand March will be held prior to the dance in the PAC at Simley.  Tickets are $40 per person and will be sold in the Cafeteria BEFORE SCHOOL & DURING ALL LUNCHES through Friday, April 13th.


Tickets will include all of the following events:

Grand March: 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. in our Performing Arts Center

Dance: 8:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m. at Mall of America in Parkview Event Center

Rides: 10:30 p.m.-12:00 p.m. Nickelodeon Universe (we have bought out the park for unlimited rides)


If you are bringing a guest from another school you must have a completed Guest contract to purchase a ticket for them. The Guest contracts are now available in the Guidance Office. They are due back on or before Monday, April 16.


Please note: Mall of America has a Parental Escort Policy in place. The mall’s curfew restrictions requires all patrons after 4:00 pm prove they are at least 16 with a valid MN State ID or Driver’s License (other options for ID are listed on the MOA website) or an adult 21 years or older must escort you to Parkview Event Center located in Nickelodeon Universe. Seniors - Your Senior Grad Fee is due!   Payments can be made on Fee Pay or in person to Ms. Sievert in the Main Office.



Simley’s Relay For Life will be taking place overnight from Friday April 27th to Saturday the 28th. We encourage all students and staff to participate in this amazing and impactful event. High school students who raise $50 will be able to stay overnight for fun activities such as Zumba and a dodgeball tournament. Visit the website tinyurl.com/simleyrelay for more information.



Would you like to travel to Spain and Italy next summer?  Come to Mrs. Valencia's room on Tuesday, April 17th at 7:10am to learn about this amazing travel opportunity!



Any Spanish club student that completed their volunteer opportunity and would like to attend Festival of Nations on May 3rd should stop by Mrs. Valencia's room to get a permission slip.



Student Parking Lot- Only students with a Simley parking pass are allowed to park in the student lot. If you do not have a pass, you must park off campus. Students found parked in the

lot with a pass may be ticketed, booted etc. See Ms. Sievert in the main office if you have questions.



Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
