Pictures taken during orientation were distributed to students on Friday, September 14th in advisor class. Please ask your student if you have not seen them come home! If you have questions please contact Jen in the main office at 651-306-7201.

Theatre
Please join us for the Simley Theatre booster meeting tomorrow (Tuesday Sept. 18) at 6:30 PM in the Simley IMC. All are welcome, and parents of kids involved in the fall play are encouraged to attend.

Lifetouch will be at the Grove on Tuesday, Sept. 18 to take team & individual pictures for girls Swim & Dive. Pictures may be pre-ordered at https://order.lifetouchsports.com/index.cfm?event=OrderHome&contractID=154481

Sports Schedules
All high school & middle school sports schedules are available at www.metroeastconference.org - select Simley. The Metro East Conference website is the most accurate & up to date schedule available. There are also several valuable features available to parents/guardians/athletes on this website.

Attention all 6th-8th grade students! Simley Soccer is hosting a Student Appreciation night on Monday, September 17 during a double header where all students get into the game for free. Boys kick off at 5 pm and Girls kick off at 7 pm. CANES Chicken will be sold at the concessions stand! Come cheer your Simley Soccer teams on and enjoy some Canes!!! ALL middle school students MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian and will not be allowed to attend without one.

The Simley Dance Team is hosting a Kid’s Clinic on Sept. 20th and 21st. Kids ages K-8th grade will learn a fun dance with the dance team and perform at the Simley Football Pre-Game on Sept. 21st. The cost is $25 in advance (due Sept. 9th) and $30 the day of the event. If you would like to receive more information, send an email to [email protected] .
Essay Contest!
"Know an 8th grader who dreams of seeing the world? Have them enter AAA Discovery Crew Contest where 60 students will win a trip for themselves and a parent or legal guardian, including airfare, and an 8-day/7-night river cruise beginning and ending in Amsterdam. Have your 8th grader answer three essay questions about traveling, plus submit a selfie expressing their passion for travel. For complete details, visit AAA.com/Discoverycrew . You need to enter by September 21st, 2018. Applicants must be 13 years old and in 8th grade when they submit the application.
An Important Reminder for all students & parents…
All students must be accompanied by an adult in order to attend any home athletic events. This includes all middle school events as well as any high school events. We will turn students away at the door if they are not with an adult. Please know that a parent cannot just drop a student off for the night. They must buy a ticket and be in attendance during the event.
