BESTWith fall and the start of school, families are contemplating their older student’s future. Seniors in high school are starting to make decisions on further education and families are wondering how to make that happen. Are you aware that Inver Grove Heights has a foundation that raises, manages, and awards scholarship funds to Simley graduating seniors? The foundation is called the Inver Grove Heights B.E.S.T. Foundation and this past year we were able to award 117 scholarships totaling $168,628.00. We’d like to invite you to partner with us through volunteerism, donations, and attendance at our events. In the spring we will hold a Dinner and Silent Auction and a May Day 5K walk/run. Next summer, we will hold a golf tournament. If you are contemplating where to direct your United Way funds through work, consider selecting the Inver Grove Heights B.E.S.T. Foundation. Many companies will match contributions, so remember to ask for a match if available! To learn more about the Foundation feel free to visit our website at www.ighbestfoundation.com or email us at [email protected]. Go Spartans!

The Top Secret Project is a unique traveling exhibit designed to help parents and school professionals recognize unfamiliar hazards to youth that are often in plain sight. Using a simulated teenager's bedroom, the interactive exhibit includes hundreds of items when seen through an educated lens, could be a signal there's a problem.

The exhibit is interactive and accompanied by a presentation and a discussion with Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation staff and members of our partnering agencies to enhance content. Pre-registration is appreciated but not required.
