The varsity girls hockey team remains undefeated after Tuesday night’s 3-2 victory over Rosemount.  The Irish jumped out to an early 1-0 lead until So. Zoe Boughton put one behind the goaltender to tie the game at one a piece.  Early in the 2nd, Jr. Avery Schwark gave the Spartans the lead 2-1. Rosemount fought back and tied it late in the 3rd period. It looked as if overtime would be played for the 2nd game in a row, when Schwark netted her 2nd goal of the game with just 25 seconds remaining.  This gave the Spartans a 3-2 lead, and that’s how the game ended. Jr. goaltender Ava Patnode got her 2nd win of the season, stopping all but two of 14 shots faced.
