REMINDER -  All schedule changes for trimester 2  are due by the end of the day TODAY. Teacher requests and requests to rearrange the hours of classes will not be granted.



Attention all seniors:  All lunch release and study hall release forms must be renewed for trimester 2.  Please pick up a form in the main office or guidance office. Seniors who do not return a signed form are not permitted to leave school.  Also, please return all trimester 1 release cards to the main office.



Cocoa and Cram is in the Student Center today from 2:30-4:00 pm, come study!  All are welcome.

1st hour exam: 7:40-9:25

3rd hour exam: 9:30-11:15

5th hour exam (regular class period with regular lunches): 11:20-12:40

7th hour exam: 12:45-2:30

2nd hour exam: 7:40-9:25

4th hour exam: 9:30-11:15

5th hour exam (regular class period with regular lunches): 11:20-12:40

Attention anyone that is interested in joining the Simley Speech Team - There is a Speech meeting on Thursday, 11/29  at 2:35 to discuss categories, practices and meets. Contact Mr. Dorfner at [email protected] if you have questions.



Attention all who are interested in participating in the Winter One Act Plays

Auditions will be held Dec 3rd and 4th @3:00 p.m. in the PAC.

All middle school students are welcome to audition.

If you are interested in the tech side, tech will be starting on Monday, December 10th @2:45 p.m.

They are two One Act shows:

The high school competition One Act is titled “The Door”

We are looking for 1 female lead and 1 male lead and one male or female extra.

The high school one act is open to students in grades 9th -12th only.

We also have 5 to 6 tech spots available.

The non-competitive One Act is titled “Monsters Under the Bed”

We need 7 middle school students for the leads and 7-12 others for the monsters.

Open to 6-12th grades with unlimited tech spots

 

Bring to auditions: 1 prepared monologue which can be anything but must be prepared.  If you don’t have one, a cold “unprepared reading” will be provided for you to read.

Upcoming College Visits:

A representative from the following colleges will be visiting Simley at the specified dates and times. If you are interested in learning more about a college and hearing from an admission representative from their school, sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Student Center.

St. Cloud State University will be here on Thursday, December 6th @ 8:30 AM

University of Nebraska, Lincoln will be here on Thursday, December 6th @ 10:00 AM

Pictures and Student ID's are available in the guidance office for students who had their picture taken by Lifetouch in October. Please see Ms. Wang in the Guidance office.




ATTENTION SENIORS: If you purchased a Senior panoramic picture, it is available for pick up in the guidance office. There are a few extra copies available to purchase for $17 each. Please see Ms. Wang.



Simley Girls High School Bowling Club:  If you are interested in bowling for the Simley Girls High School Bowling Club,  the Girls 2019 season will begin in January. Any level of bowler is welcome. Please contact Gary Salzman (coach) at [email protected]   for more information.  Practices will start mid-December.

 

 


Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
