Boys hockey BLC monthly meeting will be held Monday, Dec. 3 @ 7pm at the in Armory C. All are welcome and are encouraged to attend.
The girls varsity hockey team remains unbeaten with a big 5-1 victory over Minnehaha United Tuesday night! Jr. Avery Schwark had the lone goal in the first period, giving the Spartans a 1-0 lead. The game remained 1-0 until Jr. Kendall Johnson scored what would end up being the game winning goal, early in the 2nd period. Minnehaha wasn’t going down without a fight, putting one in shortly thereafter, making it a 2-1 game. That’s when the Spartans broke the game wide open with Johnson scoring her 2nd of the game, Sr. Molly Illetschko netting her 1st goal of the season, and 8th grader, Ella Tucitto putting the game basically out of reach with her first varsity goal. The 3rd period was scoreless, and Simley went on to win 5-1. Jr. goaltender Ava Patnode earned her 3rd win of the season stopping all but one of the 10 shots faced. Next up for the Spartans will be Rochester Lourdes on Thursday night at VMCC. Game times are 5pm (JV), and 7pm (V).
Attention anyone that is interested in joining the Simley Speech Team - There is a Speech meeting on Thursday, 11/29 at 2:35 to discuss categories, practices and meets. Contact Mr. Dorfner at [email protected] if you have questions.
Attention all who are interested in participating in the Winter One Act Plays
Auditions will be held Dec 3rd and 4th @3:00 p.m. in the PAC.
All middle school students are welcome to audition.
If you are interested in the tech side, tech will be starting on Monday, December 10th @2:45 p.m.
They are two One Act shows:
The high school competition One Act is titled “The Door”
We are looking for 1 female lead and 1 male lead and one male or female extra.
The high school one act is open to students in grades 9th -12th only.
We also have 5 to 6 tech spots available.
The non-competitive One Act is titled “Monsters Under the Bed”
We need 7 middle school students for the leads and 7-12 others for the monsters.
Open to 6-12th grades with unlimited tech spots
Bring to auditions: 1 prepared monologue which can be anything but must be prepared. If you don’t have one, a cold “unprepared reading” will be provided for you to read.

Upcoming College Visits:
A representative from the following colleges will be visiting Simley at the specified dates and times. If you are interested in learning more about a college and hearing from an admission representative from their school, sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Student Center.

Attention all seniors: All lunch release and study hall release forms must be renewed for trimester 2. Please pick up a form in the main office or guidance office. Seniors who do not return a signed form are not permitted to leave school. Also, please return all trimester 1 release cards to the main office.

ATTENTION SENIORS: If you purchased a Senior panoramic picture, it is available for pick up in the guidance office. There are a few extra copies available to purchase for $17 each. Please see Ms. Wang.
Simley Girls High School Bowling Club: If you are interested in bowling for the Simley Girls High School Bowling Club, the Girls 2019 season will begin in January. Any level of bowler is welcome. Please contact Gary Salzman (coach) at [email protected] for more information. Practices will start mid-December.
Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
