New Announcements

 

Attention all Boys interested in joining Tennis team - There is a Boys Tennis Meeting on Thursday, March 7th at 2:45 p.m. in the cafeteria. Tennis is open to all boys in grades 7-12.

 

 

Congratulations to the Simley Red Girls High School Bowling team for advancing to State.  Good luck at State on Saturday, March 2nd.  

Congratulations to Megan Miles, Anna Olson, Brooke Salzman, and Ashley VanKempen for receiving Varsity All Conference awards. Congratulations to Brooke Salzman and Ashley VanKempen for qualifying for the High School Bowling Singles Tournament.

Congratulations to Brooke Salzman for also being named to the All State Team.  

Congratulations to Hailey Heasley, Brooke Llerandi, Brianna O'Brien, and Anna Olson for receiving All Honors.

Continuing Announcements

 

7th and 8th grade Dance - March 1st!!

 

When: Friday, March 1st 6:30 pm -8:30 pm

Where: Inver Grove Heights Middle School

Details: 

  • Tickets are $5 and can be purchased during lunch Feb. 28th.
  • Students should be dropped off at 6:30 pm and picked up no later than 8:30 pm at the middle school.
  • Each student who donates a food item will be entered into a drawing for a prize!

  • If you can't help out that night we will be taking donations of $10-$15 gift cards to use as prizes! You can send them to the office labeled for the 7th/8th grade dance.

Students that are interested in joining the AVID Elective class next fall need to submit their AVID application by March 4th. Interviews will take place the week before Spring Break. Students can pick up an AVID application in the Main Office or the Counseling Office.  If you have any questions please contact our AVID Coordinator, Jen Moe, at [email protected] or 651-306-7303.

 

 

Yearbooks

There is still time to order your 2018-2019 Yearbook. All orders are online only. Order a yearbook by visiting: https://ybpay.lifetouch.com  School ID: 7768919

Cost: $25 for a standard book.  Ordering ends April 1st, 2019

 

 

Attendance Reminders:

Please call the attendance line 651-306-7878 when your student will be absent.

  • If you need to pick up your student before the end of the school day, please have your student bring a note to the office. Please include the name, if not a parent, of the person picking up your student. Your student will receive a pass to show their teacher. You must come into the office, show identification, and sign out your student.
  • If your student is not feeling well at school, they are to see the nurse, they should NOT text or call home.

The nurse will assess the illness and call the parent as needed.

Excused absences and Tardies include: illness, appointments, funerals, religious observances, and vacations.

Unexcused absences and Tardies include:  oversleeping, missing the bus, traffic and other reasons without parent communication to the office.

All high school & middle school sports schedules are available at www.metroeastconference.org  -  select Simley. The Metro East Conference website is the most accurate & up to date schedule available. There are also several valuable features available to parents/guardians/athletes on this website.

  • View Schedules for all sports in the high school and middle school
  • Select a location on the calendar or schedule & get the address & map for other schools where our athletes are competing

  • Notify Me - Select the sports that your student is in and receive notifications of schedule/location changes

 

 

*Important Reminder for all students & parents

All students must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian in order to attend any home athletic events. This includes all middle school events as well as any high school events. We will turn students away at the door if they are not with a Parent/Guardian. Please know that a Parent/Guardian cannot just drop a student off for the night. They must buy a ticket and be in attendance during the event.
