Middle School Spring Sports Begin on Tuesday, April 2nd 

Baseball (7th & 8th Grade)

Softball (7th & 8th Grade)

Track – boys & girls (6th – 8th Grade)

 

ATHLETES MUST BE REGISTERED BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE

              

Registration is done through Feepay. If your family has reached the fee maximum for the school year, contact Mrs. Madigan in the Activities office to adjust the fee prior to registering. Maximum activity fees per school year are $290(1 participant per family), $400 (2 participants per family) and $500 (3 or more participants per family).

The maximum family fee applies to students in grades 6-12.  If you have questions about registration, please contact the Activities department at 651-306-7001 or email [email protected]

 

 

There are also high school sports that 7th & 8th grade students may participate in.

March 18 – Simley Boys & Girls Golf

**The Golf Boosters also offer a developmental Golf program that is open to 6th-8th grade girls & boys. Do not register for Golf in Feepay if you plan to participate in Developmental Golf. More details regarding the developmental Golf program will be available at a parent/golfer meeting on Tuesday, April 9th at 6 p.m. in the Simley Spartan Center.

 

March 25 – Simley Boys Tennis (grades 7-12)

 

April 1 – Boys Lacrosse (grades 7-12)

 

 

FACTS Spring Parenting Series: Helping Your Child Be More Resilient. MARCH 21, 2019   6:30 – 8:00 PM

You can’t prevent your child from experiencing adversity in their life, but you can help them develop tools to better cope with those challenges. Find out what things really make a difference between a child who thrives vs. a child who struggles when facing challenges in their life.

Free Community Event: Viewings of the Documentary Angst

Angst is a film that explores anxiety, its causes, effects and what we can do about it. The filmmaker’s goal is to have a global conversation and raise awareness around anxiety. Angst features candid interviews with kids and young adults who have had experienced anxiety and what they’ve learned about it. The film includes discussions with mental health experts about the causes of anxiety and its sociological effects, as well as help, resources and tools.  A question and answer session will follow the film. Parents can ask their questions to local mental health professionals. Local mental health agencies will share resources. Information Flyer

Attention Golfers, spring is Almost Here!

The first practice of the 2019 golf season will be on Monday, March 18th in the Flexible Learning Space.  Athletes must register before the season starts to participate.

The mandatory informational meeting for parents, athletes and coaches will be on Tuesday, March 19th at 6:00 PM in the Spartan Center at Simley High School. All athletes wanting to try out for the boys or girls high school golf teams should attend. Any student grades 7-12 is welcome to try out for the high school teams. 

Players in grades 6-8 have the option to participate in the Golf Boosters Middle School program which will begin on Monday, April 22. Those athletes participating in the Middle School program will have a meeting on Tuesday, April 9th. More information will be posted soon. Please send any questions to [email protected].

*Important Reminder for all students & parents

All students must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian in order to attend any home athletic events. This includes all middle school events as well as any high school events. We will turn students away at the door if they are not with a Parent/Guardian. Please know that a Parent/Guardian cannot just drop a student off for the night. They must buy a ticket and be in attendance during the event.
