SPORTS PRACTICE UPDATE


Softball

9th grade and varsity practice in the North gym at 2:45 p.m. JV practice in A/B at 2:45 p.m.

Baseball

9th Grade Practice is cancelled

JV & Varsity practice in A/B gym at 4 p.m.

Track

Practice in C Gym at 2:45 p.m.

 

Boys Lacrosse

Practice in North Gym at 4 p.m. All Middle School practices are cancelled today.

Attention all current AP students that are registered to take an AP exam In May:

All AP students taking an exam must attend a mandatory AP information session.

Information sessions will be held this week and next week in AP Geography classes, AP US, AP Lang, AP Psych and AP spanish classes.


If you are taking an AP exam and you are NOT in either AP lang, spanish, psych, US or Geography, you MUST attend a session in one of those classrooms.


AP teachers will be handing out a flyer that lists all the dates and class periods of the sessions you can choose from.

It is mandatory you attend, so plan ahead. You will not be allowed to take your exam if you do not attend a session.




Attention Seniors: Your Grad Fee of $45 is due NOW.  You can still pay this fee through your FeePay account or by cash or check in the main office. See Ms. Sievert in the main office if you have any questions.




The National Honor Society Induction Ceremony has been rescheduled to Wednesday, May 1st at 6:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.




Do you or anyone you know suffer from anxiety?  Go to a showing of the short movie "Angst" on Monday, April 15th at South St. Paul High School for more information about the causes of anxiety in teens as well as resources and tools to help.  Doors open at 5:30 and the viewing of the film is at 6:30 pm.

Attention Prom Committee members, our meeting from yesterday will be rescheduled for next Thursday, April 18th in Mrs. Martin's classroom.



Attention Junior and Seniors: Prom is Saturday, May 11th and will held on a riverboat on the St. Croix River in Stillwater. The Grand March will be held at Simley in the Performing Arts Center. The tickets will be $40 and include Grand March, dinner and the dance on the boat.

If you are bringing a guest from another school, a guest contract must be completed to purchase a ticket for them.  Guest contracts for Simley's Prom are available in the Guidance office and are due back no later than Monday, May 6. Guest tickets will be sold by Ms. Martin ONLY after contracts are approved by Ms. Klukas.



Please join the Inver Grove Heights B.E.S.T. Foundation on April 13 for the annual silent auction and dinner fundraiser. This year’s dinner will be held at a new location, St. Patrick's Social Hall, and will feature games, a social hour, and an Italian dinner catered by DeGidios Restaurant. The IGH B.E.S.T. Foundation raises funds to award scholarships to Simley High School graduates. To register for the event or for more information, please visit www.ighbestfoundation.com.

A representative from the following colleges will be visiting Simley at the specified dates and times. If you are interested in learning more about a college and hearing from an admission representative from their school, sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Student Center

REMINDER  - The IMC, the Student Center and the Spartan Center are closed all of 5th hour. You must stay in the cafeteria during your lunch period.

Students will be participating with a student service learning project in Ms. Parker’s Room before and after school in W215 to sell for $10 H20 for Life T-Shirts for a fundraiser for Badi

Dhani School - Health, Nutrition & Education in India. The proposed project will be an integrated effort on improving health and nutrition awareness among children. Availability of safe drinking water, Bio-sand filters and regular check-ups to monitor the health of the students. This school has already received water and sanitation facilities with the support of H2O for Life.



Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
