New Announcements

Attention Volleyball Players!  There will be a 20 minute volleyball meeting on Wednesday, May 15th, at 7:15 AM in the Main Gym in Simley HS. We will discuss summer camps, open gyms, summer league, sizing for the new varsity uniforms, and the upcoming fall season, which begins this fall on Monday, August 12th. This is a meeting for all those interested in playing High School Volleyball, including any current 6th, 7th and 8th graders who wish to try out for the high school teams. The middle school volleyball program will begin after school starts next fall.

 

Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club:  Do you have a son or daughter going into 7th through 12th grade that is interested in bowling for the Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club.  Our Co-Ed 2019 season will begin in September.  Any level of bowler is welcome.  If so, please contact Gary Salzman (coach) at [email protected] for more information.  Practices will start mid-August.

Continuing Announcements

 

Stop at Chipotle in West St. Paul on Tuesday, May 14 from 4:00-8:00pm and support the Simley Girls Swim & Dive Team.  Just show the flyer, or tell the cashier that you are there to support the Simley Girls Swim & Dive Team and a portion of the sale will be given to the Team. Flyer

 

Mental Health Awareness Day (Shoe day) at IGHMS will be on May 21st, 2019

"What will be your walk? Leave your footprint."

NAMI staff and volunteers will be joining us during the lunch periods on May 21st to help get everyone involved in mental health awareness. Wear green to support someone you may know who lives with a mental illness. On this day, students will be encouraged to write positive words of encouragement or pledges of support for those living with mental illness. All are encouraged to stop at the booth to encourage positive mental health. 

 

 

 

You're invited to the IGHMS AVID College Fair! AVID students have been researching a college or university and will act as admission counselors representing their schools. All are welcome to attend on Thursday May 30th in the IMC from 12:40-2:20. Contact Ms. Moe with any questions  [email protected]

Sports Schedules

All middle school & high school sports game schedules can be found at www.metroeastconference.org - click on Simley.  Whenever there are changes to the schedule, the change will be made here.  This is the official schedule. 

**If you would like to receive a notification whenever a change is made, you can sign up for that on this site. This is a very helpful feature particularly in the Spring when are dealing with so many weather issues.  Go to www.metroeastconference.org - click on Simley. On the right hand side of page, there is a box "Notify Me" - click on "Notify Me" - create an account, choose your preferences & you will be notified.  There is also a box to get the mobile app.

 

 

*Important Reminder for all students & parents

All students must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian in order to attend any home athletic events. This includes all middle school events as well as any high school events. We will turn students away at the door if they are not with a Parent/Guardian. Please know that a Parent/Guardian cannot just drop a student off for the night. They must buy a ticket and be in attendance during the event.
