Continuing Announcements

 

Attention all 6th, 7th & 8th Grade Girls!

The Middle School Girls Swim & Dive season will begin after school on Tuesday, September 3. The JV/VARSITY Team begins their season on Monday, August 12.  You will need to contact Coach Iverson if you are going to join the JV/VARSITY Team @ [email protected].  Information can be found at the Middle School Office or the Athletic Office. 

 

2019 Simley Soccer Camp:  All Fall 2019 Simley soccer players please sign up for their summer soccer camp ASAP. The boys’ soccer camp runs from 9-11 AM on July 15-18.  The girls’ soccer camp runs from 10-12 PM on July 8-11. All camp information and registration details can be found on the Simley Soccer website www.simleysoccer.com.  Open for players entering 8-12 grade in the fall of 2019.

 

2019 Simley Soccer Captains Practice:  Boys and Girls Captains Practice will be held the weeks of July 29 and August 5 with time to be determined.  Further information will be posted on the Simley Soccer website www.simleysoccer.com .  Open for players entering 8-12 grade in the fall of 2019.

 

 

 

From the Nurse

All medications including prescription and over the counter medications will be returned to students to take home during 6th hour on Monday, June 3rd.  Students will be instructed to take the medication to their backpack to return to the parents.

 

Any parent that does not want medication sent home with their child should notify the school nurse, Vicki Fisher, RN, LSN at 651-306-7208 or [email protected]  so other arrangements can be made.

 

 

Simley Theatre Guild Banquet

June 2nd, 5-9pm

All students (and parent of students) that participated in cast/crew/orchestra for Government Inspector, Winter One Acts or West Side Story are invited to the Simley Theatre (Potluck) Banquet. Please RSVP below.

If you placed an apparel order with General Sports – orders have been received and are now available in the main office.  Please plan to stop in or have your student pick up your order.

 

 

Attention all girls interested in Gymnastics - Information for the summer Gymnastics camp is available in Ms. Walsh's classroom EA 208 or in the Activities office.  

 

 

Simley Boys Basketball Youth Camp - June 11th – 14th

Grades: 4th through 8th (2019-2020 school year)

Time: 8:30am – 12:30pm (Tuesday – Friday)

Location: Simley Main Gym

The Simley Boys Basketball Staff along with the 2018-19 Simley Boys team will be coaching at the camp.  Each camper will be taught fundamentals of basketball which include ball handling and dribbling, passing, shooting, and offensive footwork. Campers will participate in contests, games, and lectures.

The emphasis will be on individual improvement, but team aspects will also be covered during daily games.  Open the following link for the registration form:  Boys Basketball Youth Camp

Sports Schedules

All middle school & high school sports game schedules can be found at www.metroeastconference.org - click on Simley.  Whenever there are changes to the schedule, the change will be made here.  This is the official schedule. 

**If you would like to receive a notification whenever a change is made, you can sign up for that on this site. This is a very helpful feature particularly in the Spring when are dealing with so many weather issues.  Go to www.metroeastconference.org - click on Simley. On the right hand side of page, there is a box "Notify Me" - click on "Notify Me" - create an account, choose your preferences & you will be notified.  There is also a box to get the mobile app.

 

 

 

 

*Important Reminder for all students & parents

All students must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian in order to attend any home athletic events. This includes all middle school events as well as any high school events. We will turn students away at the door if they are not with a Parent/Guardian. Please know that a Parent/Guardian cannot just drop a student off for the night. They must buy a ticket and be in attendance during the event.
