Congratulations to the Simley Girls Volleyball team for its outstanding performance at the Visitation Invitational on Saturday. The Spartans finished in 2nd place losing in the finals in a tight and hard-fought match with Holy Angels, ranked 12thin the state. The opening match of the tournament saw Mounds Park Academy test the hearts of the players as the team won by the slimmest of two-point margins in the deciding set. Simley then dominated Highland Park setting up a semi-final match with the formidable Metro East rival Hill-Murray, a team we had not beaten in over ten years. After splitting the first two sets, the Spartans said 12 years is enough and jumped out to an 8-1 lead before comfortably finishing off the Pioneers 15-8, setting up quite the rematch this coming Thursday at home.

The Simley Soccer Varsity Boys took their 6th straight shutout win Saturday 2-0 against St. Croix Preparatory Academy.  Their record increases 6-0-0.  The JV Boys also had a shut out with a 6-0 win!  The varsity boys next game will be held on Tuesday at St. Croix Lutheran HS with 7 pm kick off and JV at 5 pm.  Congratulations to both teams!

Congratulations to the Simley Spartans girls soccer team for scoring four unanswered goals to claim a 4-1 victory over section opponent St. Croix Lutheran on Saturday. The Spartans are now 3-1-1
