The JV/VARSITY Girls Swim & Dive Team CRUSHED it at last night's meet against Henry Sibley!  The Spartans continue with their Conference Winning Season by defeating the Warriors with a score of 100 - 83 and going exhibition in the last event.

Continuing Announcements

 

Picture Retakes are scheduled for Oct. 10th

Go to mylifetouch.com and enter Picture Day ID EVTM9S8SM

 

For those who are having pictures retaken, please return the original picture package to school that day.

 

If your student has not had a picture taken, this is the last chance.

Pick up an order form in the office prior to Thursday.

 

Even if you are not purchasing a package, every student should have their picture taken to get an ID card and to be featured in the yearbook.

 

 

Simley Girls Swim/Dive - Fundraiser at Applebee's - Wed Oct 9

Looking for a fun and easy way to support the Simley Girls Swim/Dive team AND enjoy a dinner prepared just for you?  Head over to Applebee's   5855 Blaine Ave E, Inver Grove Hts on Wednesday October 9, from 4pm-9pm! Present this   FLYER   to your server, and Applebee's will donate 15% of your check to the team.

Simley Cross Country Running Team invites you to a fundraiser night at Noodles Restaurant in West St Paul (1590 Robert St S) on Wednesday Oct 9th 4pm - 8pm. Show this flyer or mention the fundraiser, and 25% of your purchase will be donated to the team to support our runners!

Conferences:

This year, IGHMS is using PTCFast.com to make the Fall Advisory Conference sign ups even easier and also faster.  Once you know your child’s advisory teacher, please go to the following link: https://www.ptcfast.com/schools/Inver_Grove_Heights_Middle_School_1 or visit the IGHMS homepage and click on Conference Signup.

 

The dates and times for the fall conferences are October 14th (4:00-7:30), October 15th (4:00 - 7:30), and October 16th (9:00 - 12:20).  Please sign your child up for one of the available 20-minute time slots as soon as possible as it will fill up quickly.  We hope that everyone is able to attend!

 

 

NAMI-MN and ISD 196 has partnered to offer a Free Super Saturday Parent Education Conference:  Saturday October 5, 2019 Eagan High School.  This event is designed to meet the needs of biological, foster and adoptive parents, family members, paraprofessionals, and other who work with or care for children with and without a mental health diagnosis.  Anyone in Dakota County is welcome to register.

 

Breakout sessions include: Managing Challenging Behavior, Special Education, Trauma, Family Community Strategies, Suicide Prevention, Cyber Addiction, Chemical Use, What Autistic People Wish You Knew, Crisis Planning, Depression and Anxiety, Wellness, Self-care and more.

 

Registration includes refreshments and a light lunch. Participants will also have dedicated time to learn about local resources

Childcare is available for children ages 3-12 at no cost for families who pre-register.

Clothing Closet

We want to thank everyone who has generously donated to the Clothing Closet. We have had so many generous members of our community donate that our closet is bursting at the seams. Therefore, we are not currently accepting donations.  Please consider taking your donation to Neighbor’s Inc. and look for an announcement of needs we may have moving forward. 

 

 

 

Sports Schedules

All middle school & high school sports game schedules can be found at www.metroeastconference.org - click on Simley.  Whenever there are changes to the schedule, the change will be made here.  This is the official schedule. 

**If you would like to receive a notification whenever a change is made, you can sign up for that on this site. This is a very helpful feature particularly in the Spring when are dealing with so many weather issues.  Go to www.metroeastconference.org - click on Simley. On the right hand side of page, there is a box "Notify Me" - click on "Notify Me" - create an account, choose your preferences & you will be notified.  There is also a box to get the mobile app.

 

 

*Important Reminder for all students & parents

All middle school students must be accompanied by an adult guardian when arriving to Simley sporting events.  Students without an adult guardian will not be allowed to attend these events. Also- no back packs will be allowed in to events so plan ahead to leave them at home.
