Attention Students:

The Simley Football Team is 6-0. On Friday, October 11 the Spartans will face the Tartan Titans they are also 6-0. This Friday the Simley vs Tartan game has been selected the KARE 11 Spotlight game of the week. The KARE 11 Sunrise show will be live Friday, October 11 at Simley High School main gym at 5:30AM. All students are invited to be a part of the live show. Students need to arrive at Simley at 5:15AM. Students must wear Simley Spartan fan gear and report to main gym. The show will be taped from 5:30AM-7:00AM.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month nationwide campaign founded in 2006 by  PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center. The campaign unites communities around the world to educate and raise awareness of bullying prevention.

Unity Day is 10-23-2019. Take action to show that you care about everyone being safe at school, online, and in the community. Wear and share orange to show that we are together against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion!



The Girls Varsity Tennis team beat East Ridge on Tuesday 5-2 in the section semi finals. An Outstanding 3 set victory from Clara Thoemke, Shelli Muller and Cayla Friemann. Also winning their matches, Catie Thoemke, Erin and Sara Borchard, and Carissa Thomas and Nicole Estephan. The girls take on Woodbury Thursday at 6pm at Lifetime fitness in Lakeville for the section finals. Come support!

 

 


Attention German Club members! There will be a meeting in Mr. Mitchell's room on Friday at 8am. Remember to bring your doughnut money.


 

The Girls Swim & Dive Team met up against the challenging Hill-Murray Pioneers at last night's dual meet.  They came up short and lost to the Pioneers with a score of 83-93.  Their next biggest competition is this Saturday when they host the True Team 1A Sections.  If you need volunteer hours, they can use Back-Up Timers for this meet beginning at 11:15am.  Please contact Coach Iverson at [email protected] if you're able to help out.

The Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer teams both have their first section playoff games at HOME on Saturday October 12!  Girls kick off at 1 pm and the boys at 3 pm. Come and cheer the teams on. The girls are ranked #4 seed and the boys #2 seed. 



Attention all Mathletes!!  Sign up for this year's math team this Friday, October 11th either before or after school in Mr. Gingerich's room, WA 226.



Interested in joining the 2019-2020 Simley Dance Team? Winter Competitive Team tryouts will take place on Monday, October 21st from 5:30-6:30pm & 6:45-7:45pm and Tuesday, October 22nd from 5:30-6:30pm. Grades 7-12 are welcome to tryout. Come support the Simley Soccer Teams at B52 Burgers and Brew TONIGHT, Wednesday, October 9th from 5-9PM.  50% of your sale will go directly to the soccer teams. See your favorite soccer player for a copy of the flyer you must present at the restaurant.



Simley Girls Swim/Dive - Fundraiser at Applebee's - Wed Oct 9

Looking for a fun and easy way to support the Simley Girls Swim/Dive team AND enjoy a dinner prepared just for you?  Head over to Applebee's, 5855 Blaine Ave E, Inver Grove Hts TONIGHT Wednesday October 9, from 4pm-9pm!  Present this FLYER to your server, and Applebee's will donate 15% of your check to the team.



Simley Cross Country Running Team invites you to a fundraiser night at Noodles Restaurant in West St Paul (1590 Robert St S) TONIGHT, Wednesday Oct 9th 4pm - 8pm. Show the FLYER or mention the fundraiser, and 25% of your purchase will be donated to the team to support our runners.  Then come out the next day, Thursday, Oct. 10th for the Simley Invite as the Cross Country team competes on the fields and trails here at Simley starting at 4:00 p.m.

Simley Lacrosse is excited to host another college level lacrosse game!

On, Sunday October 13th, the University of Minnesota Gophers take on St. John's at 5pm at Simley's Boche Memorial Stadium.  Come watch two of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association's top teams clash in our very own stadium. ***ADMISSION IS FREE, concessions will run throughout the event. Warm ups at 4:15.

Prior to the game we are running a FREE "Try Lacrosse" event on the field or inside a gym (depending on weather) for any interested new to lacrosse Simley High School & Middle School students.

3-4pm - Boys Try Lacrosse run by Simley Varsity Coach Luke Johnson

4-5pm - Girls Try Lacrosse run by Simley Varsity Coach Madii Maas

Lacrosse sticks will be provided, and participants will be put through various non-contact drills, competitions, and games to get a taste of the sport. Come see how much fun lacrosse is!



Looking for a quiet place to study after school? Link Leaders will be available to help you study, organize your thoughts, or just be a great support system after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:00 in the Student Center. Come get some studying help!

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
