Attention DCTC students.  There are no DCTC classes on Friday, November 1.  Please have your parents call the attendance office to excuse you if you plan on leaving.  If you choose to stay, you must remain in the Student Center or IMC.

 

 

Attention all AP students, the deadline to register for AP exams is this Friday, but we will be leaving registration open through the weekend until midnight on Sunday. 

Once registration is closed Sunday night, you will not be able to register to take your AP exams. Don't miss out on exams and get registered!

The College Fair is Friday, November 1st! Over 45 colleges will be at Simley for the fair, with a range of technical, 2-year, 4-year, public, and private options. The fair will run from 8:30-10:00. All students grades 10-12 will attend the fair and will be dismissed at their assigned times. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore different college options and connect with a variety of college representatives! 

 

 

Boys and Girls Basketball Parents!  Basketball Booster Meeting Tuesday, November 5th at 7:00, at Simley, Mr Peper's Room WA101.  

 

 

 

Attention all soccer players! The end of season banquets are coming up.   Girls banquet is on Sunday November 3 at 5 pm and boy banquet is on Monday November 4 at 6 pm.  Both will be held at the Spartan center. Please RSVP at the below link by the end of October 30th.  Players are free and parents/family/friends are $10 each.

Attention all Cross Country runners, you must turn in your uniforms to Coach End of Season surveys to Coach Gerber by Friday, Nov. 1st. The End of Season Mile Time trial is today, with the race starting at 4:15 on the track.

 

 

TODAY - Attention all 9-12th grade boys interested in Wrestling. There will be a registration meeting on Wednesday, October 30th at 3:30PM in the high school cafeteria. If you can’t attend the meeting please contact Coach Short. 

 

 

TODAY - Hey Ladies!  Are you interested in something fun and exciting?  We have a Gymnastics tryout meeting for the 2019-2020 JV and Varsity gymnastics team, it will be in Mrs. Walsh's Room in EA208 (which is above the weight room) on October 30th right after school.  The meeting will last about an hour.  We will share information about the team, calendar of practices and meets, ask questions about gymnastics experience and talk about season apparel. All gymnasts will need to have a current physical on file, fee pay $130 online and all forms filled out.  If you have any questions please direct them to Mrs. Walsh. 

 

Upcoming College Visits:A representative from the following college will be visiting Simley at the specified dates and times. If you are interested in learning more about a college and hearing from an admission representative from their school, sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Student Center.

HAMLINE UNIVERSITY WILL BE HERE TODAY THURSDAY 10/31 @ 10:20 AM 

UNIVERSITY OF JAMESTOWN WILL BE HERE TUESDAY 11/5 @ 9:25 AM

 

Get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Career Center if you are interested.

Did you miss the first trip meeting to travel to London, Paris and Barcelona with Mrs. Valencia?  Good news, there's still room on the trip! Come to EA 201 on Thursday morning at 8:00am to hear more information!  

 

 

The Football team will be playing in the section championship vs. South St. Paul on Friday, November 1st at 7pm here at Simley.  Section tickets are $5 for students/Senior Citizens and $10 for Adults. Go Spartans!!

 

Seniors, if you did not receive a yellow yearbook to do list at the panoramic photo, please see Ms. Hensch. Senior photos, baby photos, and the senior survey are all due by December 1st. Send photos to [email protected]. 

 

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
