The Girls Swim and Dive Team competed at a challenging Sections Finals this past Friday and finished 6th place.  There were many strong performances and personal best times achieved.

TOP FINISHES:

Erin Orn - 2nd Place Diving - State Qualifier

Sophia Fredeen - 4th place 200 IM & 7th place 100 breaststroke

Sydney Bohn - 4th place 500 Free & 11th place 200 Free  

Stella Anderson-Moye - 5th place 200 Free & 6th place 500 Free

Keegan Puariea - 12th place 100 Butterfly

Emily Hageman - 12th place 100 Free

Kjerstin Iverson - 14th place 100 breaststroke

Elizabeth Ngo - 8th place 200 Free Relay

Filomenah Sans-Callahan - 8th place 200 Free Relay

 

 

Thank you all for participating in our fall food drive. This event would not be successful without you and your generosity. This year's winning class is Ms. Brunsvold's first hour. The students brought in many needed items for our food shelf and scored 641 points for our friendly competition. Congratulations and thank you again for your participation. Go Spartans!

All Cross Country Captains and Seniors should meet with Coach Gerber this after school in Coach Gerber's room for a brief meeting to discuss the banquet.

 

Attention all Cross Country runners and families, the end of season banquet is this Friday at 6:30 in the Spartan Center. Please RSVP in the SignUp Genius email that was sent out last week. 



Alpine Ski, Nordic Ski, , Gymnastics, Boys Hockey & Girls Basketball seasons are starting today after school. You must be registered through FEEPAY to practice.

 

 

Upcoming College Visits:A representative from the following college will be visiting Simley at the specified dates and times. If you are interested in learning more about a college and hearing from an admission representative from their school, sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Student Center.

UNIVERSITY OF IOWA WILL BE HERE ON THURSDAY 11/14 @ 10:20 AM 

 

Get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Career Center if you are interested.

Seniors, your baby photos, senior photos, and senior surveys are due December 1st, which is less than a month away. Please send your photos to [email protected]. If you need the yellow sheet with further information there are extra copies in the front office and on the bulletin board outside Ms. Hensch's room.

 

 

ALL NIGHT PARTY FUNDRAISER

The All Night Party provides a fun and safe event for the graduates on graduation night.   The All Night Party has partnered with Chipotle on Robert Street for a fundraiser.   

Wednesday November 13th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM

33% of the sales will go back directly to the All Night Party.  Just let the cashier know you are their to support the Simley All Night Party.  

 

 

All Night Party Meeting

The All Night Party will have a meeting on Monday, November 11th at 6:30 PM.  Meeting will take place right outside the Simley High school IMC. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.   If you would like to help out but are unable to attend please email Jane Difronzo to be added to future communications [email protected]



Vaping and the use of e-cigarettes has become very popular with teenagers within the past few years.  Unfortunately, a lot of misinformation about vaping is also going around, both within the student population and the community at large.  Please see this brief factsheet for more information around vaping.

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
