Choir Concert  - Monday, November 18

7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center

Everyone Invited!!



Congratulations to the Dakota United Hawks Adapted Soccer team which includes Simley’s Brian Patterson for qualifying for the state tournament. The team won 9 – 0 against the Mounds View Rams (Irondale, Mounds View and Roseville High Schools and their associated middle schools.  The Dakota United Hawks team includes athletes from Inver Grove Heights, Rosemount, Apple Valley and Eagan High Schools and middle schools (Hastings, Mendota Heights and South St. Paul are eligible but no athletes participate on our team). The team will be playing on Friday, November 22nd at 8 p.m. at Stillwater High School. Good luck at state!!



Simley students will have a unique learning opportunity on Monday, November 18th at 1:30 PM. A program specialist from the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities will be at Simley to present to any student interested in STEM fields, engineering, and sustainability overall. They will provide information about the majors and specializations within the majors that fall under the Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering at the U of M as well as career pathways related to these in-demand majors. Interested students should sign-up with Ms. Kimble in the Career Center.


Attention Football Players & Parents!!

The Simley Football Banquet is on Sunday, December 8 at Tinucci's in Newport

12:00 pm- check in

12:30 pm- dinner and program to follow

$25 per person payable by cash, check or credit card at the door

Boys Basketball & Wrestling start on Monday, November 18th. Make sure you are registered so you can begin practice on Monday. Register through Feepay. If you have questions, stop by the Activities office.

 

Upcoming College Visits:A representative from the following college will be visiting Simley at the specified dates and times. If you are interested in learning more about a college and hearing from an admission representative from their school, sign-up and get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Student Center.

MACALESTER COLLEGE WILL BE HERE TODAY,  FRIDAY 11/15 @ 9:30 AM 

 

Get a pass from Ms. Kimble in the Career Center if you are interested.

Attention Parents - If you are calling in to report an absence and would like to go directly to the Attendance line, please call 651-306-7010.  

 

 

Simley Girls High School Bowling Club:  Do you have a daughter in 7th through 12th grade that is interested in bowling for the Simley Girls High School Bowling Club.  Our Girls season will begin mid-December. Any level of bowler is welcome. If so, please contact Gary Salzman (coach) at [email protected] for more information.  Practices will start mid-December.

 


Seniors, please fill out the senior hall of fame survey by December 13th. You will receive the survey link in your second hour class today. If you need the link please see the front office or Ms. Hensch

 


Seniors, your baby photos, senior photos, and senior surveys are due December 1st, which is less than a month away. Please send your photos to [email protected]. If you need the yellow sheet with further information there are extra copies in the front office and on the bulletin board outside Ms. Hensch's room.

 

 

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
