Attention all students that are planning to join the High School Softball team this year - There is a Softball Parent/Athlete Meeting on Tuesday, 1/21 at 5:30 p.m. in the Simley Spartan Center.  Anyone interested in participating should attend and see what the program is about! Contact Coach Ostby if you have questions or would like more information.


Attention Simley Boys Lacrosse Players in grades 7-12 and anyone interested in joining the boys lacrosse program this spring. 
There will be an informational meeting on Sunday, February 9th with Head Coach Luke Johnson in the Spartan Center at the High School.
7pm - for new players(& their parents) thinking of giving it a try and current lacrosse players(& their parents) new to the High School program.
8pm - MANDATORY mtg for all returning boys lacrosse players.(if you can't make it, contact coach Luke)


We are looking for high school leaders to help us at the 7th grade Courage Retreat.   Are you able to help us out with this?
When:  Thursday, January 30, 2020   Leave Simley @ 8:20 and return by 3:20
Who:  42 high school leaders  (10th - 12th graders only)
Where:  The Grove and St. Pat's (21 leaders at each site)


ACT Day, February 25th
11th grade students will be taking the ACT exam on February 25th.  Any 11th grade students not taking the ACT test need to notify the main office by calling 651-306-7000 option 6.  In order for students to be released after the ACT is complete, please sign and return the ACT permission form that was mailed home.  

9th, 10th, and 12th graders will have a digital learning day.


Neighbors, Inc. has put out a call for clean, new or gently used jackets, sweaters, coats, gloves, hats, etc. as the weather gets colder and the need grows.  Caleb Myran and Griffin Lane will be collecting clothing for Neighbors at the Simley Swim & Dive meet on Jan 23 & Jan 28 the Simley Hockey Game on Feb 1.

ACT PREP COURSE - Starting January 22nd 
Get prepared for your ACT Test! This class provides an introduction to the ACT format, strategies for answering questions and instruction for the specific subject areas tested. Focal points of the program include diagnostic testing, vocabulary development, intensive mathematical review, reading comprehension improvement, and anxiety and time management. 

Students who complete a course may repeat it as often as they wish in future offerings – free of charge. All class materials are included in the tuition fee. 

The next classes start on Wednesday, January 20th and run for 4 weeks. Please click here to register and for the full schedule. 


Attention Seniors: Your Graduation Fee of $50 is due March 20. You can pay this fee by cash or check in the main office. Paying via FeePay is not available at this time.  Once the issue is fixed, we will update you via these announcements.

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.


Lifetouch Photos: Students, if you had your picture taken in December your pictures and/or student ID's are available in the guidance office now. Please see Ms. Wang.


WINTER DRIVER EDUCATION SESSIONS STARTING SOON!
Classes will begin Monday, January 27th and runs Monday-Thursday till February 7th (10 sessions) after school from 2:45-5:45pm.  To view the full schedule, register or learn more, please click here or call 651-306-7870. The cost of the class is $375 and that includes classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training.


Club Photo Day has been scheduled for Friday January 31st. Please talk to your club's advisor to find out what time your group photo is.  During Club Photo Day seniors can come to the Spartan Center (preferably during lunches, but they can come any time they are free) to take a free professional photo for the yearbook. We want all seniors to be in the yearbook. 


Seniors, the yearbook deadline for senior materials has been extended until February 1st. All senior photos, baby photos, and senior surveys are due February 1st which is the final due date. There will be NO exceptions.
