Inver Grove Heights Middle School Announcements

Monday, April 13th

Hello IGHMS Families!

While we continue with Distance Learning we are going to transition to sending weekly announcements rather than daily announcements.  We will send important reminders and special messages that we think are important to you.

We sure do miss seeing our students every day. We hope to be able to see them again before the end of the school year! As of right now the governor’s school shutdown order goes through May 4 so we are hopeful we will see everyone again.

Attendance

Daily attendance is still required for every student. In order to be marked “present” a student must access Schoology daily.  Attendance will be tracked through Schoology in the counselor’s Morning Message post and each student’s response to that post prompt. Students MUST complete the assignment (1 question) posted by the counselors in the morning meeting to count as attendance for the school day. However, if a student does not appear to be responding or participating at any time during the week, staff will contact the family to determine if there are concerns that must be addressed or additional needs that must be supported.

If you have attendance questions please contact Jen Moynihan @ [email protected].

If you have questions about how to access the Schoology Counselor Morning Message please contact:

Jennell Garten (A-K)      [email protected]

Brittany Kwallek (L-Z)    [email protected] (Brittany is the long-term sub filling in for Ms. Maloney who is out on maternity leave.)

Office Hours:  Please know that teachers will return emails and phones in a timely manner during their virtual office hours of 9 - 11 am and 1 - 3 pm. on Mondays/Tuesdays & Thursdays/Fridays. They will also be available on Wednesdays between 9:00 am - 12:00 pm to answer students questions and offer support.  It is at each teacher's discretion to offer email responses, phone calls or student help on non-office hours and on weekends.

Jennell Garten (A-K)      [email protected]

Brittany Kwallek (L-Z)    [email protected]

Sra. Maloney que está de baja por maternidad.)
