Free Grocery Program- this Saturday- May 2nd

Crossroads Church, hosts a FREE Grocery Giveaway every FIRST Saturday of the month! The church is located near Salem Hills Elementary, at: 5590 Babcock Trail. Below is some information about The Free Grocery Give-Away Program:

Giving people much needed food brings them not only a fullness  in the stomach, but also a fullness in the heart knowing other people volunteer their free time to make sure food is available to the needy. Open the FIRST Saturday of each month, except July, if you know anyone in need or would like to experience how great it feels to help others, contact: Dave Sanford, 952-913-2996. ***Changes implemented due to the COVID-19:

1) We will set up as usual but will make up boxes of food and put them out on

tables by the door;

2) We will label the boxes by what kind of meat is in it and put the different meats on different tables. For example, all chicken boxes go on the chicken table, pizza's on the pizza table, ground turkey on the turkey table;

3) Registration forms will be handed out to the cars as they arrive. We will collect them and take them to the registration desk; 

 4) Each car will be given a registration number to put on their windshield and be

asked to park in an orderly way for ease of traffic during food distribution;

 5) Cars would be called on a first come, first served basis to keep parking spots open in clusters;

 6) I am asking that volunteers park together across the back rows of the  

parking lot. This will make the distribution much easier if people drive to the front door when getting food, after their number is called."

Volunteer's wear masks and use gloves, as well as followjng social distancing rules. All rules are in accordance with Governor Walz's orders.

Programa de comestibles gratis: este sábado 2 de mayo

¡Crossroads Church, organiza un Programa GRATUITO de comestibles cada PRIMER SÁBADO del mes! La iglesia está ubicada cerca de la Primaria Salem Hills, en: 5590 Babcock Trail. A continuación se incluye información sobre el Programa de obsequios gratuitos de comestibles:

Darle a la gente la comida que tanto necesita no solo les proporciona plenitud en el estómago, sino también plenitud en el corazón sabiendo que otras personas ofrecen voluntariamente su tiempo libre para asegurarse de que la comida esté disponible para los necesitados. Abra el PRIMER sábado de cada mes, excepto julio, si conoce a alguien que lo necesita o le gustaría experimentar lo bien que se siente ayudar a otros, comuníquese con: Dave Sanford, 952-913-2996. *** Cambios implementados debido al COVID-19:

1) Configuraremos como de costumbre, pero haremos cajas de comida y las pondremos en

mesas junto a la puerta;

2) Etiquetaremos las cajas según el tipo de carne que contenga y colocaremos las diferentes carnes en diferentes mesas. Por ejemplo, todas las cajas de pollo van a la mesa de pollo, las pizzas en la mesa de pizza, el pavo molido en la mesa de pavo;

3) Los formularios de inscripción se entregarán a los automóviles a medida que lleguen. Los recogeremos y los llevaremos al mostrador de registro;

 4) Cada automóvil recibirá un número de registro para poner en su parabrisas y ser

pidió estacionar de manera ordenada para facilitar el tráfico durante la distribución de alimentos;

 5) Los automóviles se llamarían por orden de llegada para mantener los espacios de estacionamiento abiertos en grupos;

 6) Estoy pidiendo que los voluntarios se estacionen juntos en las últimas filas del

estacionamiento. Esto hará que la distribución sea mucho más fácil si las personas conducen hacia la puerta de entrada cuando obtienen comida, después de llamar a su número ".

El voluntario usa máscaras y usa guantes, así como también sigue las reglas de distanciamiento social. Todas las reglas están de acuerdo con las órdenes del gobernador Walz.
