Simley Golf - Fundraiser at Jerseys Bar & Grill - Tuesday Nov 10th

Join us at Jersey's Bar & Grill for a fundraiser to support the Simley Girls and Boys Golf Program.  Jersey's is one of our local businesses and will donate 25% of sales back to the Simley Golf Program.  Tuesday, November 10th, 4-9pm, dine in or take out, this flyer needs to be presented.

School Picture Make-up/ Retake Days

Our Middle School PTSA has a new fundraiser that is easy to access and donates a percentage of your purchase from the stores you shop at every day.

  • Download the My HuTerra Rewards on your smart phone
  • Sign up
  • Go to the home page of the app, Tap My Fundraisers, Tap Add Fundraiser
  • Search Inver Grove Heights Middle PTSA
  • Scan receipts every time you purchase at places like Walmart, Sam’s Club and Target

BIG NEWS - IGHMS Student Newspaper 

Ms. Momany (8th grade science) and Ms. Maloney (School Counselor L-Z) are starting the IGHMS newspaper! We are looking for middle school students from all grade levels who are aspiring journalists: like to write, take pictures, and are excited to share their voice in an online newspaper! 

Are you interested? We will be meeting via Zoom on Wednesday, Nov 11 at 1:30pm.

Register for a Different Attendance Option for Trimester 2 Now Through Friday, November 6

Between October 26 - November 6, all students have the opportunity to change their attendance option for Trimester 2. 

  • Students who are enrolled in Attendance Option 1, which is currently the Hybrid Learning model, will be able to enroll in 199 Online for Trimester 2. 
  • Students who are enrolled in 199 Online will be able to enroll in Attendance Option 1 for Trimester

When making the decision to change attendance options, please remember:

The Attendance Option 1 learning model may change from the current Hybrid Learning model to the Distance or In-person Learning model later in the school year. The learning model depends on factors such as COVID-19 case numbers and staff availability.

Students will remain in their assigned student group (A, B, or AB) for the school year, regardless of the attendance option they choose.

199 Online includes opportunities for self-paced work, but it also includes real-time class meetings and lessons. 199 Online students are required to be online at certain times during the school week.

Students are committed to staying in their Trimester 2 attendance option for the full trimester.

Students who wish to remain in their current attendance option, Option 1 (currently Hybrid) or 199 Online, do not need to request any changes or fill out any forms. 

 

Families or students who want to CHANGE their attendance option for Trimester 2 (changing from 199 Online to Option 1 or changing from Option 1 to 199 Online), click here to request an attendance option change.

 

 

Entre el 26 de octubre y el 6 de noviembre, todos los estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de cambiar su opción de asistencia para el segundo trimestre.

 

  • Los estudiantes que estén inscritos en la Opción 1 de asistencia, que actualmente es el modelo de aprendizaje híbrido, podrán inscribirse en 199 en línea para el segundo trimestre.
  • Los estudiantes que estén inscritos en 199 Online podrán inscribirse en la opción 1 de asistencia para el segundo trimestre.

Al tomar la decisión de cambiar las opciones de asistencia, recuerde:

  • El modelo de aprendizaje de la opción 1 de asistencia puede cambiar del modelo de Aprendizaje Híbrido actual al modelo de Aprendizaje a Distancia o En Persona más adelante en el año escolar. El modelo de aprendizaje depende de factores como el número de casos de COVID-19 y la disponibilidad del personal.
  •  Los estudiantes permanecerán en su grupo de estudiantes asignado (A, B o AB) durante el año escolar, independientemente de la opción de asistencia que elijan.
  •  199 Online incluye oportunidades para el trabajo a su propio ritmo, pero también incluye lecciones y reuniones de clase en tiempo real. Los estudiantes de 199 Online deben estar en línea en ciertos momentos durante la semana escolar.
  •  Los estudiantes están comprometidos a permanecer en su opción de asistencia del Trimestre 2 durante el trimestre completo.

 

Los estudiantes que deseen permanecer en su opción de asistencia actual, Opción 1 (actualmente Aprendizaje Híbrido) o 199 Online, no necesitan solicitar ningún cambio ni completar ningún formulario.

 

Las familias o estudiantes que quieran CAMBIAR su opción de asistencia para el Trimestre 2 (cambiando de 199 Online a la Opción 1 o cambiando de la Opción 1 a 199 Online), haga clic aquí para solicitar un cambio de opción de asistencia.
