Inver Grove Heights Middle School Announcements

Families who qualify for free or reduced-price meals, or Educational Benefits, will receive a Pandemic-Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) debit card in the mail, which can be used to buy food. To ensure that you receive your P-EBT card if you qualify, update your mailing address with your school. Click here for more information.

Summer Boys Baseball registration is now open. This is open to all boys aged 9-15 who want to play association baseball this summer. Registration deadline is February 28. Register at www.IGHBA.com
Register for a Different Attendance Option for Trimester 3 Now Through Friday, February 12
Students can now request to change their attendance option for Trimester 3. Students currently enrolled in Option 1 (Distance Learning) can enroll in 199 Online for Trimester 3. Students currently enrolled in 199 Online can enroll in Option 1 for Trimester 3. If COVID-19 case rates continue declining, we are hopeful that middle and high school students will be able to return to the Hybrid Learning model for Trimester 3. Students will automatically continue in their current attendance option if their family does not complete an Attendance Option Change Form.

Community Learning Session: Parenting in a Pandemic
MDH and SAVE invite you to join us for a new community learning session. The session is one hour long, and will create space to learn and discuss suicide prevention best practices.
The next event will discuss parenting in a pandemic, and will focus on recognizing parents in their dual role as parents and teachers, and the challenges created because of the pandemic. We will also share strategies for coping as adults try to manage everything between home, work, uncertainty, and fears. Register – Parenting in a Pandemic Feb, 23, 2021 from 9-10 a.m.

The Dakota County Eviction Prevention Program is currently unavailable but will be back soon. More details will be posted when it becomes available.
Although there has been a temporary hold on evictions, rent is still due and landlords may evict tenants with past due rent after state and federal restrictions on eviction filings are lifted.
In the meantime, help is available for qualified Dakota County renters who are unable to pay rent and utility costs through particular agencies. Click here to see the agency list.

All AVID applications for the 2021-2022 school year are due on February 12th. Click here to access the online AVID application form.
