With beautiful weather, the boys and girls on the track and field team took on Hill Murray for the second home meet of the season.

Event Winners on the Girls Team Were - Zoe Boughton in the 100 Meter Dash - Emerson Hocking in the 400 Meter Dash - Brekken Grathen in the 800 Meter Run - Taylor Ralston in the 200 Meter Dash - Abby Hepper in the Discus and Shot Put - Clara Thoemke in the Triple Jump - Laura Bosin in the Long Jump - The 4×100 Meter Relay of Taylor Ralston, Laura Bosin, Zoe Boughton, and Kate Carlson - The 4×400 Meter Relay of Clara Thoemke, Emerson Hocking, Amelia Jessen, and Laura Bosin

Simley Track and Field will be holding a fundraiser Monday May 3rd from 5-9pm at the West St. Paul Chipotle. Come out and mention the fundraiser at checkout and the track team will receive 33% of the proceeds. Get some great food and support Simley Track! More details will be posted on the Track Instagram

May 3-7 is Charity Week!

Students, bring monetary and/or food donations to your fifth hour class. These donations will be kept internally within our school community and donated to Neighbors Inc. There will be two prize categories to win a pizza party. - The 5th hour with the most donations - The 5th hour with the most theme day participation: Be sure to dress up!

Senior Party Theme: Let the Adventure Begin

The All Night Senior Party is held after graduation on June 10th, 2021 from 11pm-4am in the Simley Spartan Stadium. This is a great night of fun with your senior class after graduation. The ticket price includes: Food, Games, Casino, Hypnotist and prizes to be given away at the end of the night (Tv's, gift cards and more!!)

You don't want to miss this event... there is something for everyone!

All of this is included for just $60.  Get your tickets now!!  Ticket prices goes up after May 15th to $75

Interested in joining the 2021-2022 Simley Dance Team? Fall Performance Team and Winter Competitive Team tryout practices will take place on Monday, May 3rd and Tuesday, May 4th from 5:30-7:30pm. Tryouts will take place on Wednesday May 5th starting at 5:30pm. If you are currently in grades 5-11, you are welcome to tryout. Repeat Announcements:

Yearbook Update: Due to the challenges of COVID, the yearbook team will need to use the rest of the school year to complete the Yearbook. This will push our book distribution back to mid July. Look for more info this summer. 
The yearbook team is working hard to create a book that represents the year and all Simley students. Yearbooks are still for sale and can be purchased by going to commpe.pictavo.com and using the school code: 93441. Once you have selected Simley, click “Shop My School” to order. 

9th-11th Grade Student Portraits for the Yearbook: If you did not take a Lifetouch school photo this year, you will not be in the portrait section of the Yearbook unless you take a photo with Ms. Hensch next week (4/19-4/23).  Please stop by during lunch (any time from 11:10-12:25) to get your photo taken or stop by Ms. Hensch's room (WA209) any day next week before school.
If you are an online student: Please come to school to get your photo taken Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday from 11:10-12:25 or email Ms. Hensch at [email protected] to set up another time.

ACT Prep Class

Spring is a great time to prepare for the ACT college entrance exam.  If you want to maximize your ACT exam score, or maybe just feel uneasy about your test-taking skills, this class is for you. You can take the class right here at Simley, Tuesday evenings in May, or online anytime.

Drivers Education Classes

Learn to drive this spring!  Drivers Education classes are scheduled now through August.  These classes are offered online after school and in the evenings.  Summer classes are offered in a morning session, afternoon session and an evening session.  Choose the time that works for your schedule and get started on your training today. Free Meals for All Kids

Inver Grove Heights Schools is providing Free Meal Boxes to ALL children, ages 18 and younger. Families will no longer need to pre-order meals, and any child will be able to pick up a Free Meal Box, whether they are an ISD 199 student or not. 

 

Free Meal Boxes will be available for pick-up at 12 distribution sites, some in the afternoon and some in the evening. Click here for each Free Meal Box site’s day, time, and location.

High School Spring Sports start March 29 In order to get your son/daughter registered for sports you need to follow the link below to our new registration site; SmartSchool K12. When you arrive at the home site of the user portal, you will see guides available that will walk you through the registration process and setting up your parent portal, step by step.

When you are connecting your student to your parent account, you will need the STUDENT ID and their DATE OF BIRTH. You WILL NOT use a family key. 

Once you are registered and you have added your student to your account, please make sure to go into your settings and add a "Funding Source". This will allow you to complete your purchases upon checkout. Do not auto-fill this section as it will not work due to security reasons.

Earlier this Fall we had a lot of issues with different browsers when families were registering. Please attempt to use FireFox, as it is the most successful.
