Let’s Talk About It- Community Suicide Prevention Event
Dakota County, MN - SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education) and the Dakota County Alive & Thrive project to host a suicide prevention and awareness night in South St. Paul.
With deaths by suicide increasing and mental health challenges facing our community, education and awareness of these topics is critical to save lives. There are approximately 50 suicides in Dakota County each year and hundreds of other community members who think about suicide and attempt to take their life. “The data is clear and the impact of mental health and suicide on our community is real” said suicide prevention expert Dr. Dan Reidenberg of SAVE. “This is why we need to bring more awareness to students, parents, teachers and everyone in our community on how to help prevent suicide,” Reidenberg said. “Our school community has seen and felt the devastation of a student suicide. Everything we can do to better support our student’s mental health and help prevent suicides is a priority. I am thankful that we are talking about this,” stated Chuck Ochocki, Principal of South Saint Paul High School.
Let’s Talk About It!© is a free event open to anyone in Dakota County. It will include a local community resource fair, meal, keynote address from an international expert in suicide prevention, as well as local youth and adults who will talk on panel discussions about mental health and suicide in our community.

En el condado de Dakota se producen aproximadamente 50 suicidios al año y otros cientos de miembros de la comunidad piensan en el suicidio e intentan quitarse la vida. Supply Shortages Cause Frequent Menu Changes
Just like cafeterias and restaurants across the country, ISD 199 Food Service is experiencing many challenges receiving the products staff have ordered due to manufacturer shortages and delivery delays. These shortages and delays are affecting ingredients, menu items, and serving supplies, such as meal trays.
Food service staff will update their online menus as quickly as possible when changes need to be made. However, last minute changes and product substitutions may occur without notice due to shortages and the number of students eating meals that day. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we do our best to meet the needs of all students.
La escasez de suministros causa cambios frecuentes en el menú

IMPORTANT: Parents/Guardians: We know that sometimes it’s necessary for you to come to school to pick up your student during the school day. Please send a note with your student in the morning if you can. Your student should come to the main office in the morning with the note to get a pass. If you need to contact us during the day to let us know about picking up your student- please try to call at least 1 hour before you need the student to be excused. Attendance Line is 651-306-7878
We try to limit interruptions to class and following these suggestions can keep interruptions to learning to a minimum and get your student to the office more efficiently.

All middle school students must be accompanied by an adult to ALL Football games. Any student not accompanied by an adult will be turned away at the door.
