New Announcements:
Are you interested in joining 2021-2022 the Gymnastics Competitive Team? The preseason meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 27th @ 3:30 in Room EA208 (Walsh's health room, above the weight room) If you are in 7th -12th grade and would like to try out, attend this meeting. We will have gym set-up and open gym starting on November 1. Season and Try-outs will begin on November 8th.To try out, you must have a current physical on file and be registered. There will be a parent meeting on Saturday, November 13 @ 11:30 after practice in the North gym, for parents of gymnasts who make the team. Spartan football fans: tickets for the game on Wednesday at Two Rivers will be cash only. No presale and no credit cards.
Come support Simley Cross Country Teams and enjoy great food at Inver Grove Brewing Co tonight from 3-9pm. IGBC will donate 10% of all sales (dine-in, patio, takeout, bar, online order for pickup, merchandise). No flyers needed!
The FAFSA Completion Event for seniors and their families is TONIGHT (in-person) and TOMORROW (virtual)! Both events run from 5-7 P.M. Remember, the FAFSA is the one application you need to complete to be eligible for any federal or state loan, grant, or work study. If you are a junior interested in taking the PSAT, don't forget to register on Smart School K-12. The test will take place on Tuesday, October 26th. Pick-up more information in the Counseling Office.

If you haven’t pick-up your parking permit from the main office please do so this week. Starting next week, Monday, October 18, all cars need to have a parking permit in the student lot. Not students should be parking in the staff lot located outside of the main office and sports doors.
If you need to apply for a parking permit, applications can be found in the main office.
Reminder that students are not allowed to leave campus unless parent permission was given prior or they have classes off campus.
Pictures from Picture Make-Up day are now available in the AP office with Ms. Brown. Picture Retakes have been scheduled for Oct. 27 in the morning.
Seniors, the Yearbook needs your senior photo, baby photo, and senior quote by December 1st. You were sent an email on your school email account with details last week. See Ms. Hensch if you want a paper copy of what was emailed or if you have any questions.
Interested in joining the 2021-2022 Simley Dance Team? Winter Competitive Team tryout practices will take place on Monday, October 25th 5:30-6:45pm & 7:00-8:15pm and Tuesday, October 26th from 5:30-6:45pm. Tryouts and team announcements will take place from 7:00-8:15pm on Tuesday, October 26th. If you are currently in grades 6-12, you are welcome to try out. See the signs around school for more details.
There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Thursday, October 28th at 7pm in the Spartan Center for the parent(s)/guardian(s) of any dancers who make the team. Please contact the coaching staff with any questions at [email protected]

Bus Drivers Needed!
ISD 199 is looking for more bus drivers and bus driver subs! Before and after school shifts are available, 4 hours per day are guaranteed, up to $23.25 per hour plus paid training, and full benefits at 25 hours per week. Learn more and apply at www.isd199.org/careers.

Lunch release is not being offered this year. All students must remain in the building during their lunches.
Study Hall Release is available to all students who have study halls 1st or 7th hours. Study hall releases will not be granted for study halls in the middle of the school day. Release forms are available in the Guidance Office or the Main Office.

In order to get your son/daughter registered for sports you need to follow the link below to our new registration site; SmartSchool K12. When you arrive at the home site of the user portal, you will see guides available that will walk you through the registration process and setting up your parent portal, step by step.
When you are connecting your student to your parent account, you will need the STUDENT ID and their DATE OF BIRTH. You WILL NOT use a family key.
Once you are registered and you have added your student to your account, please make sure to go into your settings and add a "Funding Source". This will allow you to complete your purchases upon checkout. Do not auto-fill this section as it will not work due to security reasons.
Earlier this year we had a lot of issues with different browsers when families were registering. Please attempt to use FireFox, as it is the most successful.
