New Announcements:
Pictures from Picture Make-Up day are now available in the AP office with Ms. Brown. Picture Retakes have been scheduled for Oct. 27 in the morning.
Your Simley Varsity Volleyball team will play at home on Tuesday October 26th hosting Cretin-Derham Hall at 7:00PM. Tickets are $5 for students and seniors and $10 for adults. Cash only, no credit cards. Everyone must pay for section games. We look forward to our 1st game as Sections always result in exciting matches. Come support and cheer on our own Simley Spartans! The crowd for Senior night was phenomenal and we hope to duplicate that excitement and energy for our players!
Parents: AP exam registration is now available to Smartschools. Please log in and select the exams/AP Courses your son/daughter is in. The deadline to order an AP exam is November 5th.
If you registered to take the PSAT, report to the North Gym no later than 8:30 AM on Tuesday. Remember to bring #2 pencils and a calculator.
Tuesday, October 26th is college application completion day in the Student Center! Seniors are invited to sign-up to come in and work on applications, ask questions, and take advantage of MN College Week with all state schools waiving their application fees! Seniors who have already submitted applications should plan to stop by any time during the day to pick-up a treat and celebrate that you applied! Are you interested in joining 2021-2022 the Gymnastics Competitive Team? The preseason meeting will take place this Wednesday, October 27th @ 3:30 in Room EA208 (Walsh's health room, above the weight room) If you are in 7th -12th grade and would like to try out, attend this meeting. We will have gym set-up and open gym starting on November 1. Season and Try-outs will begin on November 8th.To try out, you must have a current physical on file and be registered. There will be a parent meeting on Saturday, November 13 @ 11:30 after practice in the North gym, for parents of gymnasts who make the team. If you haven’t picked up your parking permit from the main office please do so this week. All cars need to have a parking permit in the student lot. Not students should be parking in the staff lot located outside of the main office and sports doors.
If you need to apply for a parking permit, applications can be found in the main office.
Reminder that students are not allowed to leave campus unless parent permission was given prior or they have classes off campus.
Seniors, the Yearbook needs your senior photo, baby photo, and senior quote by December 1st. You were sent an email on your school email account with details last week. See Ms. Hensch if you want a paper copy of what was emailed or if you have any questions.
Interested in joining the 2021-2022 Simley Dance Team? Winter Competitive Team tryout practices will take place today, October 25th 5:30-6:45pm & 7:00-8:15pm and tomorrow, October 26th from 5:30-6:45pm. Tryouts and team announcements will take place from 7:00-8:15pm on Tuesday, October 26th. If you are currently in grades 6-12, you are welcome to try out. See the signs around school for more details.
There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Thursday, October 28th at 7pm in the Spartan Center for the parent(s)/guardian(s) of any dancers who make the team. Please contact the coaching staff with any questions at [email protected]

ISD 199 is looking for more bus drivers and bus driver subs! Before and after school shifts are available, 4 hours per day are guaranteed, up to $23.25 per hour plus paid training, and full benefits at 25 hours per week. Learn more and apply at www.isd199.org/careers.

Lunch release is not being offered this year. All students must remain in the building during their lunches.
Study Hall Release is available to all students who have study halls 1st or 7th hours. Study hall releases will not be granted for study halls in the middle of the school day. Release forms are available in the Guidance Office or the Main Office.

In order to get your son/daughter registered for sports you need to follow the link below to our new registration site; SmartSchool K12. When you arrive at the home site of the user portal, you will see guides available that will walk you through the registration process and setting up your parent portal, step by step.
When you are connecting your student to your parent account, you will need the STUDENT ID and their DATE OF BIRTH. You WILL NOT use a family key.
Once you are registered and you have added your student to your account, please make sure to go into your settings and add a "Funding Source". This will allow you to complete your purchases upon checkout. Do not auto-fill this section as it will not work due to security reasons.
Earlier this year we had a lot of issues with different browsers when families were registering. Please attempt to use FireFox, as it is the most successful.
