Please join us for the Simley Shooting Sports Team fundraiser on Monday, November 15th at B52 Burgers and Brew in Inver Grove Heights

The fundraiser starts at 4:00 PM and will go until 11:00 PM. B52’s will donate 30% of the total involved sales (this will include food and beverage sales!). Are you interested in trying out a new winter sport? Wanting to join a tight knit team? Join Nordic Skiing! There will be an informational player meeting on Wednesday November 3rd at 3:30 for all new and returning skiers. The meeting will be held outside the ski room by the flex learning space. Hope to see you there.

Attention all AP students: The deadline to register for AP exams is November 5th. If you plan to take AP exams, you must register by this deadline or you will not have an exam on exam day. AP teachers were all given AP registration handouts with information on how to register in Smartschools. If you haven't registered yet, get this taken care of ASAP.


Parents of Seniors, School counselors are setting up Senior Meetings with students to go over their credits for graduation, check-in on plans for after graduation and to order caps and gowns for graduation. Counselors still have MANY students that have not responded to email requests to set up their senior meeting. Please encourage your senior to check their school email and select an appointment time with their school counselor.

Clue on Stage! by Sandy Rustin (Based on the film Clue... which was based off the board game Clue!)


It's a dark and stormy night, and you've been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each of the guests has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well . . . dead. So whodunnit? Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up. Based on the cult classic film and the popular board game, Clue is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist.


Performances will be live in the Simley High School Performing Arts Center.

Attention all 9-12 Boys and Girls interested in joining the 14 x state championship Simley Wrestling team. There will be an informational meeting about the upcoming season on Wednesday, November 3rd at 3:45PM in the High School Cafeteria. This meeting will cover all aspects of both the boys and girls season. If you have ever thought about joining the team this is a great meeting to come and get information.  

Are you interested in Trying out for the 2021-2022 Boys Basketball team? The pre-season player meeting will take place Monday, November 1st @ 3:45 in the cafeteria.  If you are in 9th -12th grade and would like to try out, attend this meeting. Looking for a WINTER sport? Doesn’t 80 degrees in the winter sound nice?  Join the Boys Swimming & Diving team and it will feel like Hawaii every day.  The Boys Swimming and Diving team is open to ALL 9th-12th graders and starts Monday, Nov. 29th. Are you interested in joining 2021-2022 the Gymnastics Competitive Team? Season and Try-outs will begin on November 8th.To try out, you must have a current physical on file and be registered.  There will be a parent meeting on Saturday, November 13 @ 11:30 after practice in the North gym, for parents of gymnasts who make the team.  Please contact the coaching staff with any questions at [email protected]

Seniors, the Yearbook needs your senior photo, baby photo, and senior quote by December 1st. You were sent an email on your school email account with details last week. See Ms. Hensch if you want a paper copy of what was emailed or if you have any questions.

 

Winter sports registration is now open! You must have a current physical on file in order to complete registration.  If you have any questions please stop by the activities office.

Bus Drivers Needed!

ISD 199 is looking for more bus drivers and bus driver subs! Before and after school shifts are available, 4 hours per day are guaranteed, up to $23.25 per hour plus paid training, and full benefits at 25 hours per week. Learn more and apply at www.isd199.org/careers

Lunch release is not being offered this year.  All students must remain in the building during their lunches.

Study Hall Release is available to all students who have study halls 1st or 7th hours.  Study hall releases will not be granted for study halls in the middle of the school day.  Release forms are available in the Guidance Office or the Main Office.

In order to get your son/daughter registered for sports you need to follow the link below to our new registration site; SmartSchool K12. When you arrive at the home site of the user portal, you will see guides available that will walk you through the registration process and setting up your parent portal, step by step.

When you are connecting your student to your parent account, you will need the STUDENT ID and their DATE OF BIRTH. You WILL NOT use a family key. 

Once you are registered and you have added your student to your account, please make sure to go into your settings and add a "Funding Source". This will allow you to complete your purchases upon checkout. Do not auto-fill this section as it will not work due to security reasons.

Earlier this year we had a lot of issues with different browsers when families were registering. Please attempt to use FireFox, as it is the most successful.
