Inver Grove Heights Middle School Announcements

“Now more than ever, it’s critical that we provide our children with equitable opportunities to develop mental health and wellness skills to support their long-term health, as well as their success later in life,” said Jennifer Siebel Newsom. Developed through a $25 million grant from the state of California, this project aims to give teachers and parents foundational tools to help children manage their emotions, normalize conversations about emotional wellbeing and teach essential coping skills. Boys summer baseball registration is now open! Traveling baseball is available to all boys ages 9 - 15 interested in playing IGHBA this summer. Registration deadline is February 18. Try-outs will be February 19. Register at www.IGHBA.com.

Virtual Winter Conferences Begin February 2

Middle School students are not allowed to stay after school and wander the hallways. Middle School students are only allowed to be in the building after school if they are on an IGHMS or Simley High School athletic team. Students who want to attend an event after school in either building must be accompanied by an adult.

IMPORTANT: Parents/Guardians: We know that sometimes it’s necessary for you to come to school to pick up your student during the school day. Please send a note with your student in the morning if you can. Your student should come to the main office in the morning with the note to get a pass. If you need to contact us during the day to let us know about picking up your student- please try to call at least 1 hour before you need the student to be excused. Attendance Line is 651-306-7878
We try to limit interruptions to class and following these suggestions can keep interruptions to learning to a minimum and get your student to the office more efficiently.

All middle school students must be accompanied by an adult to sports events. Any student not accompanied by an adult will be turned away at the door.
