Minnesota and ISD 199 Escape the Vape Contest!

Use your imagination and develop your Escape the Vape masterpiece. Feel free to use any platform. Use one key fact, a call to action, and be sure that your video follows all of the contest rules, which can be found on the MN Escape the Vape website  (https://sites.google.com/umn.edu/escape-the-vape/home).

Videos can be funny or serious, but should focus on educating youth about the harmful effects of vaping. Escape the Vape is a PSA video contest where Minnesota 6th-12th graders can use their voice to raise awareness about the dangers of vaping and expose the shadowy commercial tobacco marketing tactics behind it. Just create and upload your 30-second, vape-bashing masterpiece, and you could win $500 for you and $500 for your school or organization, along with other great prizes. Entries will be accepted February 1-28th. In addition to possibly winning prizes from the state-wide contest, participants can also win prizes from our district! If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Bierly at [email protected]

¡Minnesota e ISD 199 Escape the Vape Contest!

Usa tu imaginación y desarrolla tu obra maestra de Escape the Vape.

Bierly [email protected].

“Now more than ever, it’s critical that we provide our children with equitable opportunities to develop mental health and wellness skills to support their long-term health, as well as their success later in life,” said Jennifer Siebel Newsom. Developed through a $25 million grant from the state of California, this project aims to give teachers and parents foundational tools to help children manage their emotions, normalize conversations about emotional wellbeing and teach essential coping skills. The videos — in both English and Spanish — feature kids of all ages in their own words.   https://childmind.org/healthyminds/parents/
