Minnesota and ISD 199 Escape the Vape Contest!

Use your imagination and develop your Escape the Vape masterpiece. Feel free to use any platform. Use one key fact, a call to action, and be sure that your video follows all of the contest rules, which can be found on the MN Escape the Vape website. Videos can be funny or serious, but should focus on educating youth about the harmful effects of vaping. Escape the Vape is a PSA video contest where Minnesota 6th-12th graders can use their voice to raise awareness about the dangers of vaping and expose the shadowy commercial tobacco marketing tactics behind it. Just create and upload your 30-second, vape-bashing masterpiece, and you could win $500 for you and $500 for your school or organization, along with other great prizes. Entries will be accepted February 1-28th. In addition to possibly willing prizes from the contest, participants can also win prizes from our district! If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Bierly.

Simley Choir will be taking orders for Valentine's carnations and roses during lunch every day until Monday, Feb 7th. Your valentine and flower will be delivered on Valentine's day, during 3rd hour.

Counselors will be back in social studies classrooms the following week to answer any questions students may have regarding registration. All registration information, materials and videos will be posted online on Monday, February 7th for parents and students to access: https://www.isd199.org/schools/simley/Class%20Registration

In order to get your son/daughter registered for sports you need to follow the link below to our new registration site; SmartSchool K12. When you arrive at the home site of the user portal, you will see guides available that will walk you through the registration process and setting up your parent portal, step by step.

When you are connecting your student to your parent account, you will need the STUDENT ID and their DATE OF BIRTH. You WILL NOT use a family key.

Once you are registered and you have added your student to your account, please make sure to go into your settings and add a "Funding Source". This will allow you to complete your purchases upon checkout. Do not auto-fill this section as it will not work due to security reasons.

Earlier this year we had a lot of issues with different browsers when families were registering. Please attempt to use FireFox, as it is the most successful.

Do not hesitate to contact the activities office if you have any questions. 651-306-7001
