Inver Grove Heights Middle School Announcements

Interested in joining the 2022-2023 Simley Dance Team?
There will be an Open House for anyone interested in learning more about the team. Stop by the Dance Room at Simley High School on Wednesday, May 11th starting at 6pm. This time will be for parents or dancers to ask questions, meet coaches and team members, watch team performances, learn about the practice schedule, learn about the difference between our fall and winter seasons, and learn the skills included in tryouts. If you cannot make it to our Open House, no problem! You are still welcome to try out the following week.
Fall Performance Team and Winter Competitive Team tryout practices will take place on May 16 from 6-7:30pm, May 17 from 4-5:30pm and May 18 from 6-7:30pm. Tryouts will take place on Thursday, May 19 starting at 6:00pm. If you are currently in grades 5-11, you are welcome to try out. Habrá una jornada de puertas abiertas para cualquier persona interesada en aprender más sobre el equipo. 7:00-8:00 AM: Early bird session - HS Boys or Hs Girls
8:00-9:00 AM: High School Girls - Female athletes entering 9-12th Grade.
9:00-10:00 AM: High School Boys - Male athletes entering 9-12th Grade.
10:00-11:00 AM: Middle School Boys and Girls - Entering 7th and 8th Grade.

IMPORTANT: Parents/Guardians: We know that sometimes it’s necessary for you to come to school to pick up your student during the school day. Please send a note with your student in the morning if you can. Your student should come to the main office in the morning with the note to get a pass. If you need to contact us during the day to let us know about picking up your student- please try to call at least 1 hour before you need the student to be excused. Attendance Line is 651-306-7878
We try to limit interruptions to class and following these suggestions can keep interruptions to learning to a minimum and get your student to the office more efficiently.
IMPORTANTE: Padres / Tutores: Sabemos que a veces es necesario que vengan a la escuela a recoger a su estudiante durante el día escolar. Middle School students are not allowed to stay after school and wander the hallways. Middle School students are only allowed to be in the building after school if they are participating in Targeted services classes or are on an IGHMS/Simley High School athletic team. Students who want to attend an event after school in either building must be accompanied by an adult.
A los estudiantes de la escuela intermedia no se les permite quedarse después de la escuela y deambular por los pasillos. A los estudiantes de la escuela intermedia solo se les permite estar en el edificio después de la escuela si están participando en clases de servicios específicos o en un equipo atlético de IGHMS/Simley High School. All middle school students must be accompanied by an adult to sports events. Any student not accompanied by an adult will be turned away at the door.
