NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to the Simley Girls Volleyball team for bringing home "The Bus" by defeating Hastings in a hard-fought trophy match 25-19, 25-17, 20-25, 26-24. The Spartans dominated the first two sets with great ball control, but the Raiders would not go away. The deciding set saw Hastings play the early points like it was going to a fifth set before Simley forged a great comeback down 9-17. The ball control returned, and the offense was brilliant culminating in a match winning kill by Junior right side hitter Gwynn Gorter. Senior outside hitter Naomi Romslo led the Spartans offense with 21 kills on the night while Junior Makayla Goldschmitz's served for ten points with two aces in the winning set, while Junior back row specialist Kelsi Ries led the defense with 15 digs. The Spartans next take on Metro East opponent Two Rivers on Thursday for Pajama Night in the Gym. Dress accordingly but don't expect to get any sleep as the atmosphere will be raucous.
Attention to all those interested in German Club. The first official meeting will be this Friday in Mr. Mitchell's room EA203 at 8:10am. There is still time to join and all are welcome.
